I dunno but mine has crashed a number of times when I keep it on too long.

i don't own a slim, mine's a 40gb model and it has kept me entertained for 2years+ now.

But i have to say when it comes to hardware, Sony really know their stuff. My ps3 runs for hours without rest - there are times when i don't turn it off for days- and it has never given me any problems. And the best thing of all, it operates SOOO quietly! This is extremely important to me as i share a room with my brother and i like the fact that i can continue playing without disrupting his sleep.

OMG  You're my hero. I leave my fatty on all the time also. it actully outlasted the tv I got specificly for it :). I now have a slimjim in family room and even  got one for my mommy. she loves the free voicechat.  My psn name is chingrin.  hit me up I'll be playing MAG and Badcompany2 as soon as they come out.
