From my experience, reviews aren't the best place to turn when trying to find out if a game has a good story or not. One reviewer told me Tales of Vesperia had a trashy story -__-

On topic: This game is on my radar, i'd like to watch the anime but as a nasty message informed me earlier today, the videos on Funimation are not available in my region. On that note, does anyone happen to know if there was any talk of a European release date for this game?

My friend said that Sands of Destruction is an awesome game. He also said this game has an impressive soundtrack, good combat system and sometimes the voice acting is annoying.

Anyways I forgot the game was released, so I guess i'll get my friend to buy it for me since he owes me for breaking one of my older game, I've been anticipating it since the anime finished I can't wait to play it.

I am surprised that it was made by the guys that made Xenogears and that the combat system is similar, i'm currently playing xenogears on disk 2 and I love both the story and gameplay in that game so that fatc basically took any notion I had about this game being bad out of ym mind.

I'm just over an hour into Sands of Destruction and it's pretty fun so far. 

Pros

• Tons of voice acting
• Amusing dialog/writing
• Morte (character) is awesome
• Interesting attack customization
• Nice use of split screens in battle
• Great visual feedback on interactable parts of the environment
• Area maps are nicely done

Cons

• Dialog scenes go on for a long time (you can basically put your DS down for 2-5 minutes at a time at points)
• Sprite graphics are at that awkward place between really good and really bad
• Random encounters
• Semi-high random encounter rates (not Black Sigil high but still a bit high IMO)
• Menu is a bit confusing at first

So i got the game and I love it so ar but I seem to have stumbled a bit, I'm at the boss fight where you Fight Porkus Rex and i'm really not sure how to beat him, I mean he nearly 1 hit KO's all my party members, is there any trick to beating him?

Higher then Skies of Arcadia?

Use Taupy's shocky skill or his YYY combo.  Use Morte's XX and Kyrie's YYY.  Heal often--Kyrie has a party heal skill.  My friend had to use a lot of revives to win (~level 12ish) while I basically steamrolled him (~level 17ish).
