Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo sues The Hero of Time movie producers

No matter how this ends up, it cannot be good for Nintendo.

Think about the media for a second. No matter the reason they will "spin" this mess as huge corp vs. an independent small firm. The uniformed population will believe this mess without question. Hell, with all the problems big corps have been getting into lately, it would not surprise me if the majority took this as Nintendo (The big corp) trying to squish the little guy (the producers), regardless of how the media spins it.

It to bad too. Nintendo is 100% in the right here, but I cannot see them getting out of this in any better shape than they went in.

Screw the media. They already spin everything. No difference.

They were obviously trying to financially exploit the popularity of an intellectual property they don't own. I hate it when companies of the internet age disguise themselves as naive and altruistic part of the online public.
Zelda movie = millions of hits and streams = $$$.
Reminds me of Myspace and Youtube and Rapidshare... everybody loves it, it's free, what could be wrong? Well, they're making the money people used to spend on music. It's ALL business.

Currently playing: NSMB (Wii)

Waiting for: Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Wii), The Last Story (Wii), Golden Sun (DS), Portal 2 (Wii? or OSX), Metroid: Other M (Wii),
... and of course Zelda (Wii)

I thought Nintendo was overreacting until I found out those "fans" were making money off of this.

Who the heck would ever pay to see that abomination in theatres, or get it on DVD...? It was awful! Good thing Nintendo did this, it hurt the image and good name of the Zelda franchise!

you gotta admit the fight scene with gannon at the end was intense lol.. its the only good thing of that movie lol

Shouldn't have been trying to make money off of someone else's IP. Glad to hear that people that try to, don't get away with it scot-free

I trust Nintendo to ass fuck these clowns and still come out looking like a nun on sunday. I don't care what media spin doctors try to go to town with this Nintendo has ,or will hire, better ones to make sure the end message the maases hear is " We love our fans, we love our customors and we love that people take time to pay respect to our works, but people who try to profit from our IP's are criminals and will be treated as such."

Geez you guys, for a fan film it wasn't that bad...Better than Uwe Boll's movies...

You say that like it's some kind of accomplishment.
