Nintendo has never talked a lot about their upcoming games.

This isn't true at all.

Months before their release in this gen yes.

Most of you seem to agree it's better that way, but i think they need to find a better balance: now sometimes, you discover a game only a few months before its release, and you're sometimes left with the impression there's nothing comin' in a distant future...

I prefer what they did with Other M, by example: to know the game exists one year before its release seems a better idea... no need to release tons of trailers, just an initial one, and then some cool infos every few months, and it's perfect that way...

Right now, i'd like to know what's happening with Retro, Intelligent Systems, and Hal Laboratory: just know the franchise they're workin' on would be enough to make me happy...

and an ugly drawing in 1080p will stay ugly forever..."

I just want to see Kirby Wii.

Hype has become overrated. Unfortunately, the group think of game "journalists" is based upon hype.

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

In this generation, sure. I took "never" to include their entire gaming history though.

Yes, Nintendo simply threw Punch Out! Wii in my face.

Their strategy made me buy PS3 1 month after buying Wii... so no, their strategy doesn't work for me...

MY HYPE LIST: 1) Gran Turismo 5; 2) Civilization V; 3) Starcraft II; 4) The Last Guardian; 5) Metal Gear Solid: Rising

Overhyping games has been one of my biggest problems this generation. It's why I refuse to hype games up for myself anymore, even games I'm really looking forward to (FF13, Golden Sun, Okamiden, Halo: Reach, etc.). I remember when the Smash Dojo was up, and I would read the updates on Brawl every day, no matter how lame they were. And when the game came out, there was no way it could live up to the hype I had built for it.

yeah, this generation has been the worst for many things. Hype, reviews, bias. It's like a revival of the 90's review mags. Just bring back the poor grammar.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

we're confronted to extreems... 5 year Hype Vs 3 months hype....

The good amount of time should be about 9 months.
