Less combat, but more meaningful. More world integrated puzzles rather than isolated locations. More combat just get's redundant. I just want better combat and I want combat that feels epic.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

And that's a bad thing how?

I don't need there to be more action. Just better and more meaningful. Something with depth and a counter system. I want certain enemies to have shields. And if they have a shield in their right hand LINK needs to either swing from his right to left to get to the body of the opponent. Or hit the opponents shield hard enough to lower/raise their shield and enable link to attack at the top/bottom. A simple parry/dodge system, where if u parry an enemies attack you open up his body for attack. Something like this could keep links combat realistic but very deep yet manageable and rewarding.

In my opinion. Most people disagree with some directions Zelda has taken, and what kind of flaws the series has obtained because of it. Then fans think of ways to fix them, but they never seem to be implemented. Miyamoto obviously doesn't see them as flaws, but he thought no online for New Super Mario Bros. Wii was a good idea, too - When it could have sold so much better for solely that, and could have been the biggest hit since Donkey Kong.

I'm glad none of you guys have any say in how Zelda games are made. Some of the things I'm hearing are just, ugh! It's Zelda for crap's sake, if anything it needs less storytelling altogether.

Yes, I completely agree, more action is needed. The 3D games have never had as much action and combat as the 2D ones, partially because of technical limitations. At this point they should be able to do plenty of onscreen action and combat all at once. If you can't, just make it 2D! (of course I'd prefer that anyway)

Exactly! you are totaly on my train of thinking. I've been talking about the world interaction being shalow but the combat system is also shalow and needs beefing up! You make me think of something like Link from Soul Calibur. If Nintendo made link how he was made in Soul Calibur 2 the game would really take a whole new depth and go beyond current rpg and adventure fighting systems. Now that you mention it, I could forgo the ability to socialy interact with the world on a Fable II or Fable III level for this advenced fighting system.

If at first you don't succeed, you fail

Miyamoto wants more action...
Aonuma wants more adventure...

Everyone want more action-adventure-difficult...

I'm fine with whichever they decide to focus more though:
a.) Battles should be a bit more challenging/complex if they'll focus on action (like Seasons)
or
b.) Lots of interesting side quests (like MM and WW) and not just a big field (like in TP ) if they'll focus on adventure/exploration.

I find that most puzzles in Zelda games are equally as hard/challenging so I don't have problem with that field. But it would be awesome if they the game has Roc's Feather giving it some platform elements. I miss that item...

I'd like some more combat in Zelda, actually.
