Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Platinum Games interested in MadWorld sequel

Yep, keep up the good work Platinium, Madworld was a very good game imho (especially in hard mode !!!). Score music is one of the best I heard in videogames.

Just put some sizeable budget behind it this time, folks.

I'd buy it.

Pixel Art can be fun.

BTW, it's just wrong the game sold poorly. The last beat-em-up this team did was God Hand (when they were Clover of course). Look at the sales of this game versus that game.

That's why they want a sequel. Just either make it longer, and/or add multiplayer, or don't sell it at full price.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

Ahh it's like a breath of fresh air after all the sinkers of Wii bashing articles, Wii is a ver-well balanced hardware, I agree with him on that. First madworld was great now make a sequal pretty please!

Buying in 2015: Captain toad: treasure tracker,

mario maker

new 3ds

yoshi woolly world

zelda U

majora's mask 3d

^^All of the above^^

Also, as already people said before, that Sega development director is someone who has no say in Sega publishing policy, he is in the branch that develops games (none of the mature games Sega published were developed by Sega anyway).

Currently Playing: Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked, Professor Layton and the Curious Village

Anticipating: Xenoblade, The Last Story, Mario Kart 7, Rayman Origins, Zelda SS, Crush3D, Tales of the Abyss 3DS, MGS:Snake Eater 3DS, RE:Revelations, Time Travellers, Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney, Luigi's Mansion 2, MH TriG, DQ Monsters, Heroes of Ruin

Very good news, indeed...

I bought Madworld 2 weeks ago and it's really entertainig (sadly for the game, I bought muramasa one day earlier and I haven't played that much... Madworld is good, Muramasa is better...). It has plenty of humour... the same kind of humor HotD:Overkill.... and my favourite type

Anyway, I think its sales are really good, because although I really like the game, it is awfully niche... I mean, it is black, white and red, and incredibly gory... what's  more, the fun of the game is being that much gory... and well, the game is quite OK, but development costs seem to be very low...

I think an evolved Madworld has potential to be a great game... Adding co-operative modes, fixing the camera, add some extra movements and double the lenght and it will be the perfect sequel and an amazing game...

If the game is 3X longer and less repetitive, I'll buy it.

Well, the game sold pretty okay, they probably made a nice profit off it, and with that foundation in place, they won't have to create these assets for a possible sequel... Meaning a second game will likely be much cheaper to produce, and if it can manage similar sales, then more profit!

who cares about sega, get Ubisoft to publish it... unless the game is owned by sega then thats a different story lol
