It can't download in the background. It can't continue a download if it is interrupted. Its online presentation stinks. It's not fully backwards compatible. Its SIXAXIS tilt function is obsolete. Note: I plan on purchasing a PS3 when it becomes NOW PROOF and has some games and drops down to $300 and grills my chicken on both sides simultaneously.

What's said is that after owning a PS1 and PS2 for years I'd never heard of Ratchet and Clank or God of War until coming to online forums a year or so ago. To say they're more popular than Mario, whose music infests cell phone ringtones of all things now, is absurd.

Well I am not that afraid to say that it is freaking fun, and hardcore. It is not like it must be 100% realistic to be hardcore. I think you miss the point here, so far PS3 isn't delivering compared to PS2. I can also state that I don't think xbox360 is PS3:s biggest oppnent it is Wii, sorry if you don't like Wii but it is actuly selling a lot for the moment. Well your are correct in one part here, that is if (and that is big f*cking if) Nintendo release a new consol in two years it wont be future prof. Now the only thing I have heard about Wii:s lifespan is Reggie saying that 5 years mimimum. Now let say that PS3 get the 10 year life spann, and Nintendo release a new one after 5 years, that also last 5 year. Now if Nintendo continue to realese consols that cost 250 USD I would still have paid 100 USD less than a PS3, you might say that well for those 100 USD you get a blu-ray also. Well first it isn't just 100 USD. It is 350 USD and the intresst you gain from the bank. I think the bank rate is 5% in USA for the moment (am I wrong?), well we can go with the swedish numbers instead 3.25% now that means that those 350 USD = 415 USD. Anyway I think you get the point, it doesn't matter if Wii only became 5 years if the next consol will cost less too, (and the 2 years is pure bullshit) Well I am not that insecure that because I like one game I can't belive that another game isn't hardcore or good. *Looking on sales number for New Super Mario bros* hmmm (thinking please wait....) So far we haven't seen it, I am looking at numbers availible today, I am looking at another product that aimed to do the same thing as Wii. That system is called DS, and it is selling a lot. Now I already know the answer here, handheld isn't the same thing as consols. For me it is because it is all about sales, and what has Nintendo succeded with in Japan? Well it isn't Zelda driving the sales on Wii it is Wii Sport, just like it was nintendo dogs in EU, brain age in Japan and so on. Nintendo is tapping another part of the market. It might be that after 10 years PS3 will have reached 100+ million sold systems and that Wii have the same amount preferbly from my point of view NOT the same owners. That would mean that we have increased the total gaiming population. We shouldn't look at how many system were sold during the last gen, we shall look at how much can we increase the gaiming population. You (and some of the N-fans) are argumenting from the wrong point of view. Wii isn't there for stealing customers from Sony or Microsoft (of course Nintendo would be pleased if they could) it is there to steal customers from other media forms like movies or books or whatever.

Also, when someone says something stupid like - Of course the Wii will fail because it has no good/adult/hardcore games, ignore that person. It's not like any thought went into making it, so why should thought go into trying to counter it? As for the question. I'm going to say the Others region. While I do expect sales to drop off quite a bit (like NA and Japan), it just got off to a larger start. Besides, it looks like it might take 2 months for the PS3 to hit 1 mill in Japan.

I now think it will pass 1 million in Europe first. However, I still expect sales to begin rapidly declining in Europe in about two weeks. Considering PS3 has not sold over 50,000/week in the Americas or Japan since January (225k or so/month) - and since those regions had the added benefit of carry over from the holidays - I expect sales to drop below 50k per week in Europe much sooner (no X-mas to keep them propped up)... So...PS3 will hit 1 million in Europe/others by April 15. But it will not hit 2 million in Europe until September or later I think. Japan will hit 1 million for PS3 in 7-10 weeks I think.
