In Japan, PS3 is a bit over 800,000. In Europe, where it came out under a week ago, Sony shipped 750k to 1 million PS3's and sold around 620,000. I suspect Sony will reach 1 million in Japan in early June, but I think sales in Europe will be strong through at least mid-April. I actually think Sony will reach 1 million sold in both territories about the same time...

The PS3 is selling slowly so unless in a direct result of a good game coming out I do not expect the PS3 to hit 1 million in either one any time soon.

Europe ,another month more and it will be at more than 1 million .In Japan I dont know ,at the current rate it would arrive in two months ,but if Hot Shots Golf 5 ,Monster Kingdom (Folks People now ) and Ninja Gaiden Sigma are released before it can very well make things faster .

Personally, I expect that 675,000 PS3 systems will have been sold in the "Others" region at the end of March; 900,000 will have been sold at the end of April; and it will have sold about 1.025 Million at the end of May. The PS3 is selling about 100,000 units per month in Japan so will probably break 1 Million units late in May ... So basically they will break a Million units sold at (roughly) the same time. The question is when will the PS3 break 2 Million systems sold in both regions? I would bet that after the Holiday season the PS3 will have sold 2 Million units in Japan and Europe, with 4 million systems being sold in North America for (approximately) 8 Million units sold worldwide.

I think it will be the others i expect 1m in others within the next month still many areas to go India for a start . japan wise the ps3 will not sell as of yet no decent games but just wait for the first decent rpgs then bang it will fly off the shelves . As for hot shots golf might give it a boost but wouldnt imagine for more than 2-3 weeks .

Other first... unless hot shots gives a huge bump to hardware sales.

Oblivion, spiderman3, burnout5, graw2, r6, sc:da. And only demo of ngs in april + lair and ngs in june. They will sell those 380k maybe even in this week. =))

Europe easily. Guys - it only launched LESS than a week ago, still plenty of sales to come in the next month. It should hit a mill by the end of April - and unless something special happens in Japan, it will be sitting around the 900k by then.

i say europe.. playstation 3s are being sold off the sony brand name and gundam musuo in japan right now while its being promoted like crazy and just coming off a launch in europe ..
