One thing is for sure, xbox360 didn't gain much from it going multiplat either.

As much as I love the Gears series, Quantum Theory seems to be a bad game (for me) since it was announced. This game looks really generic and boring. Quantum Theory is just using what Gears had but in the bad way with bad character design, awful storyline and some unecessary mechanics. Mediocre game at best.

My answer: No, it's not a significant loss for Sony. I doubt this game will be a success because x360 and PS3 owners will have better games to play this year.

My theory is that it was never supposed to be exclusive to PS3 at all. Tecmo just wanted to hype this game up more and if it was announced as exclusive, more people will hype it. The game is coming in March, it was announced as going multiplat in Dec.

It's obvious they were working on the 360 version this whole time as well, cause 4 months is not enough to make a port.

The word "exclusivity" is one of the best marketings now.
