Is this the weirdest gaming gen ever?

Yes! 14 63.64%

No! 4 18.18%

Maybe! 3 13.64%

Other (Explain Why!) 1 4.55%

None of the Above! 0 0%

Total:22

I think it is, just a few examples...

  • The most sold console (Wii) has the least amount of 3rd party exclusives in total.
  • PS3 and the 360 Share most 3rd party games, yet some stay exclusive for some reason.
  • PSN and XBL did alot for gaming but for some reason isn't as famous as they should be.
  • FPS games have had a big monopoly from 2005 to 2009, that may change this year though.
  • Wii has the best collection of great old-school ninty games such as Super Mario World and Kirby 64 and the crystal Shards yet whenever i vist my uncles house all i see in his gaming collection is Wii-Sports and Wii-Sports resort... Oh! and Wii-fit for his wife. (I know this doesn't count for all wii owners, but it would seem a great deal might be like this to assume.)
  • PSP and DS are great mini classes of there console cousins and take many possible console exclusives.
  • 3rd Party Titles jump from Ship to Ship until they find a nice safe spot (Normally Dual-HD or Console-PC.)

Those are just a few things right of the top of my gent's hat, im sure many of you can think of more with ease, but really... this gen is fucked up, i guess another thing we could bitch about is that there hasn't really been a Zelda this gen for Wii yet thats exclusive since Twilight was for Gamecube to.

And FFXIII will finally release this year while skipping on to XIV, meaning when will we see XV?

Also many former PS brand exclusives are now quite literally shattered everywhere bounce'n from the 360, to the PSP, to even the Wii and PS2.

Will this new decade start a tred that the gen may last longer from now on?

I'll let you guys be the judge of that.

Edit: Sorry for Sony Discussion i was making 2 threads at once and got them mixed up.

?

The wii has the most 3rd party exclusives.

If you had added a condition such as quality to the statement than it would be true.

The wii is the market leader, has the largest install base of any single console, and yet all the high production 3rd party games that are made are almost 100% found on the PS3/360 and PC and none on the wii, yet despite this the wii keeps out selling the PS3/360 on a weekly basis...this is simply the weirdest thing this generation.
