Forums - Sony Discussion - Anyone else getting a bad feeling about Heavy Rain?

No, it seems like only you get that strange feeling, and it is wierd because you are not going to play this game anyway :o

Bet with Dr.A.Peter.Nintendo that Super Mario Galaxy 2 won't sell 15 million copies up to six months after it's release, the winner will get Avatar control for a week and signature control for a month.

what's the purpose of this thread? Really? Wheres a mod to close this shit? This is just ridiculous and it's littering our forums. Stop chasing VG$ and post a topic that's worth it.

I agree with you 100%, but Legend m8 u promised only like a week ago not to make these type of threads anymore lol.

How ironic, after your campaign in the Metro thread...

OT: I think it will be a love it or hate it game. Should gain mixed reviews, and anywhere close to or over 1 Million in sales will IMO be a success.

lol but you started it.

But com'on Carl, u should be used to this type of nagging between Xbox and Sony fans on these forums by now.

Maybe not a bad feeling on the same level as Lair but that the game may not live up to expectations and the insane amount of hype it has been getting, especially from some Sony fanboys?

how is it overhyped??it s a ps3 exclusive so sony are going to advertise it to sell it. Plus its a very niche genre so they need to advertise it. Hope fully it will be good, just give over.

Not really. I played Fahrenheit and liked it, and I expect Heavy Rain to do better than it, both for me personally and in terms of critical success (Fahrenheit scored 83 on the PS2 btw).

where's CGI ?

I don't think anyone, except for the extreme, have ever predicted this game will sell like crazy. However a lot of people have hyped up their own interest and the experience that this game will bring. I feel that what the game promises it will deliver with a unique experience. I don't think anyone outside of the core internet fan boys really know about this game though.

Are we talking about a disappointment to fans or a disappointment in sales?

I doubt it's going to do anything special in sales. I guess graphic whores might push the game past a million, but not much farther.

In terms of pleasing its audience, I think it will do rather well. I love dialogue trees! I just don't think that the niche market this game is targeted at will justify the high cost of the game's production values.
