Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Natal: August 2010?

With the news Fable III is hitting before Halo Reach (so probably August like Fable II, it just occured to me, Fable III is using Natal. So it's likely Natal will launch alongside Fable III? August!

Its certainly a possibility! Makes sense to launch in a semi slow time of the year to get some steam going before the fall games rush and holidays. Could be a good decision but I still want to see exactly how Natal works in Fable.

In their keynote, MS said Holiday 2010; I would think that means closer to the November/ December time-frame.

I wonder how Natal will work Fable III as well. Hell I wonder how it's going to work period!

go to about 6:40.

didnt they officially said next holidays?

peter clearly states that fable 3 will be a "controller experience".  so while fable3 very well may (probably) have natal support i would take that statment to mean you don't have to have natal to play fable3 and therefore natal won't neccessarily have to launch at the same time.  i'm certainly making a few assumptions in my logic but it's not an impossible conclusion.

You're right, that's an interview from last year though. I'm pretty sure they would launch this big Natal game alongside the launch of Natal ... surely ...

I think it'll take more than one major game release to get Natal moving. I'd anticipate at least 2 major titles to use Natal at launch. I'm sure MS will try to get Natal out the door this year. Hopefully there'll be some more indications come E3 in June.

So they have taken out the chip from Natal and it requires a to use some of the 360's resources and a 50 MB software solution. My interest in Natal has gone from mild to non-existant and I'm sure there are a huge amount of other 360 owners who agree with me.
