To me it brought back memories of Battlefield 2 on PC!

The product is rather better than what I had expected. Gameplay mechanics feels familiar and pleasant. Graphics are expectedly a bit bland because of the massive multiplayer, but they are far better than what I was actually expecting.
Day one here.

I just hope there will be enough people playing once the game comes out, in EU there is around 20 000 people in the Beta (or is that wordwide?), so games are instant, which will be needed after launch. Especially if they are divided by modes.

MY HYPE LIST: 1) Gran Turismo 5; 2) Civilization V; 3) Starcraft II; 4) The Last Guardian; 5) Metal Gear Solid: Rising

well thanks for the input everyone....it seems the health regeneration issue is hotly contested.
Personally the more i played this game, the more i realised killzone 2 multiplayer is better for me.Some parts of M.A.G just annoy me.Like how big the maps are but then you have to run for ages to get to the enemy,i also found the defending bit was so much easier for teams and attacking became extremely frustrating.Lastly I think it takes too many shots to kill someone and guns didnt have any oooomph ( a bit hiprocritical since it killzone 2 doesnt exactly have one shot kills).

"They will know heghan belongs to the helghast"

"England expects that everyman will do his duty"

"we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender"

I didn't like the (public) mag beta to be honest simply because I suck at it.

I thinks it's easier to defend cause it doesn't take long to win when your attack people have I've won games with 12-15 minutes left quite a few times

Depends on the people playing. I've been a defender and we lost in under 5 minutes and I've been an attacker where we've won in under 5 minutes (sabotage obviously).

I'd say in the bigger matches winning is probably 60-40 in favor of defending. However because of the contract thing there might be a reason for that. It just makes successfully attacking that much sweeter when your team gets it done. Unlike other multiplayer games this one is faction based so as long as factions play an equal number of attacking and defending matches then they could have the freedom to make defending easier. It's not really giving any faction an advantage over time.

@NKAJ As for having to run long distances to get to the enemy, that's why resuscitation is so important, that's why getting paratroopers is important, and that's why utilizing the armored vehicles is so important. For the defense that's why blowing up the armored vehicles is so important, that's why defending the anti air is so important, and that's why shooting downed guys so they can't be resuscitated is important. If it made everyone appear right away in the action the game would be the most pointless, unstrategic piece of shit ever. I can understand that you don't like it, but without it the game wouldn't work.

I liked the no lag part but it is so hard to use the guns imo. Also it seems that if you are defending you have a big advantage over the attacking team but that just may be me.

I wish all shooters would put out everybody-can-try MP demos before release, like MAG.

As the M.A.G public beta came out recently i thought it would be intresting to see peoples reactions....

I for one,was dissapointed but lack of regenrating health and the whole style seemed wrong to me.

You have a first aid gun and the style your playing it is wrong. Its not COD or Killzone 2, its a tactical shooter, listen to your teammates and don't go running in for the kill.
