new to the game....is it just my 23" LCD or does the field map FORCE you to use the cursor to see it's entirety?

You have to use cursor to move around, the maps are HUGE

Yeah, I actually had to use both my knights :P
Though, the whole game was easy mode, I didn't use any mana or heal pots anywhere in the game, and I didn't grind once. Finished game at level 35.
The area before Sicna (sp?) was so large I think I leveled 5 times just walking through that one area

Ah how true there man, the game overall was waaay to easy, hope they chagne that in WKC2.
Also i wont be able to play online with anyone for awhile because i started a new game + and for some reason it fucks up the entire map area for online to, so it'll be a no good for awhile, remember through your 2nd playthrough SAVE AT THE END, and dont go on.
Damn this is gonna throw me off -_- // why wouldn't they just zoom it out a bit to show everything, sucks having to move your cursor and not see everything at one time..
Come to think of it, I've never seen a map developed like that before in a game...ya I know I'm picky..but still~

Because if they zoomed out it would be so small...
You are near the start of the game, wait until later the maps.. well.. you think they are big now... hahahaha you aint seen nothing yet :)
Though they shoulda let the players control zoom on the map, that woulda been nice

I beat this game a few days ago and really enjoyed it. Fun combat, cool world.
Currently own: PC (duh), SNES, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, PS1, PS2, PS3, PSP.
Doing new game plus, just to get the GR7+ items.
Right now I am level 40 almost 41. I wonder if I will reborn before I get bored.
any1 still playin this? i actually just sold my copy the other day and i NEVER sell games. i beat it and realized ill never pick it up again.
i thought it was okay while playing but it really wasnt as good as i hoped. im a huge fan of turn based games but it just felt WAY too slow in this game... physical attacks were pretty lame since the good ones cost AC which is annoying as u need AC for the white knight..
hopefully ff13 and resonance of fate are good.
