Firstly I love that they are including motion tracking, that is freakin awesome. Secondly, I am betting that the best information is yet to come in the form of online play. Everything we know so far is epic of course, but it sounded as though pd has some things up their sleeve that could make this game that much more definitive. Hopefully they release their online plans soon, I cant wait to see what they have in store for us!

I hope they evolve the system that they used for online play in GT5:P, while it was good, it did have some faults here and there, the main one was the annoying penalty system, which many people took advantage off, since they would bump you and use the lag so the system would recognize as you being the infractor >_<.

@nicktwilight

I agree with you in the part of hype machines, I don't like them myself, in my opinion one should appreciate the games for what they are after giving them a try.

But I disagree with you on the second part, the demo may not have been impressive in the graphical department, which was never the case, but it was impresssive in the physics and racing department, at least to me it was a few steps above of what other racing games have offered me, when i'm playing with all the assists off. The Nissan 370z handled like a real FWD car with high binary and high rotations and mid-range BHP engine, and that experience was pretty good.

But in the end, it all comes down to personal appraisal of what they found in the Time Trial, I agree that some people weren't thrilled by it, it wasn't an accesible experience.

I completely agree lestatdark, that was a fairly annoying glitch if you will, I'm sure they have solutions in place to remedy that problem.  But definitely, they need to evolve the online system of gt5:p.

Seeing the efforts that PD are taking for GT5 to be as good as it can be, I don't doubt that they have found the solution for it. It's going to be awesome if they have a pretty fluid and solid online system, think of the amount of tournaments that can be arranged online in GT5! :D

lestatdark in my opinion the controls in the demo of gran turismo 5 are vastly inferion to those at forza 3.how do you define good controls;i felt like the car was skying

@Nicktwilight

That's the thing, a FWD card with such high binary and mid-range BHP that has no traction control will feel like you're on an ice skating field if you don't apply the proper brake and acceleration pressure.

Imagine riding your car at 80 mph and then try to take a hard right turn while breaking hard at the same time, you'll have the same ice-skating sensation.

It's a problem of rubber adherence when all the power of the car is being put solely on the front wheels instead of displacing it evenly along the four wheels of the car, without traction control, the lack of power on the rear wheels will make them "unglue" from the road and your car will spin around.

In that aspect, to me, that's good controls and realistic driving output.

370z is actually a RWD car :p
