I sorry if this sounds like a bit of a rant but I really have to get this off of my chest

I have absolutely no desire to play another first person shooter at all at the moment. I love first person shooters, I thought halo 3 had AMAZING online and multiplayer when it came out. I could not put it down. Call of duty4 and 5 were fun for ages and ages, unreal tournament 3 gave me tonnes of fun, I even played the odd wii shooter like medal of honour heroes 2, some computer fps like crysis, played through bioshock, ran through fallout 3 and have played immeasurable ammounts of half life and team fortress 2. Not to mention MANY other. But this year it hit me, playing Modern warfare 2 was, for some reason I couldnt figure out, allmost a chore. I tried to enjoy the game, but I was just sooooo bored! This experiance led me to say to myself. I am just not enjoying these games anymore.

Thats not to say im bored of games, I pre ordered Bayonetta climax edition today and have been playing lots of dragonage recently. But I honestly believe I cant be the only one sick of FPS games. Anyone else share this feeling? or are other people sick of some other sort of game?

No man..you are not alone. We have been probed by the cold finger of FPS for the last time. I'm sick of Call of Duty this and Battlefield that. Eat a fat one FPS!

No you are not. I bet there are a lot of people who are bored with any given genre.

I for one am sick and tired of those boring and lame jrpg:s/platformers.

I'm sick of JRPG's not beacuase Ive played so many, but so many of them arent all that good at the moment.

I haven't been impressed by a shooter since Battlefield 1942. So yeah.

Socom Confrontation and Uncharted2 are third person shooters, but still shooter type of games. ever thought of that?

You're definitely not alone... but I love personally to play FPS's.
