360 controller throws me off since A/B are reverse what they are on the GCN controller.

IMO, the X,Y buttons should be Y & Z instead. It's just kind of weird that AB goes from the begining, but XY doesn't go to the end of the alphabet.

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this. - The Gaming PC and PS4, and Xbox 360, and thePS3's . Well what are you looking at? What do you think I'm some kind of a jerk or something! - And this. That's all I need.

It's 5 seconds of memorization and then 2-6 hours of diverse gameplay to memorize a new button scheme.

Anyone who has problems with Nintendo/Sony controllers is just plain lazy and a poor gamer.

you shouldn't say that, I'm assuming that most people don't even look down on the controller when playing games, it's mostly a pain in QTE and when someone is telling you to hit a specific button, like in a combo in fighting games.

Also I haven't touched an NES controller in AGES, I know how it looks like, but I can't remember if the order is AB or BA, and I'm guessing you won't remember either, but that doesn't make us poor gamers.

Knowing how crazy Nintendo really is, they probably have some wacky philosophy behind it all, like A and B for blood types, and then X and Y for chromosomes.  They probably did years of market research before naming the buttons.

I guess it didn't pay off since they now have 1, 2, A, B, C and Z.

Actually, it's related to mathematics. X and Y are the most commonly used letters in math, algebra, etc. That's why they began their use in the SNES.

I hope nobody asks about L and R... >_>

seriouisly, I was gonna guess that about X and Y, but I thought it would be too nerdy to say, but if it's true, then it's not so nerdy. *thumbs up*
