Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Broken sword: Shadow of the Templars kicks arse!

This may be old hat for those of you who played the older versions of this game.  I just played Broken Sword for the Wii, and I think it may be my favorite game for the wii so far.  The wii lends itself very well to point and click adventures.  I am surprised there haven't been more efforts to make games of this type.  I would love to see a new Kings Quest game for the Wii now that Electronics Arts bought the rights to that series.

Anyway, broken sword has funny dialogue, an engaging story, and great puzzles.  I liked this game, for the puzzle aspects, even better than Professor Leyton. The artwork is dated, but it still has a timeless appeal.

Try it out, it is in the bargain bin at stores near you.

Most anticipated games of 2011:

It's in my backlog. I bought it due to all the positive comments made on the game's page here on VGC. It was $19.99 so I said "what the hell". Will hopefully get to it soon.

Yes.

Agreed. For folks who can't find it on the Wii, or don't have a Wii, be aware that it (and its sequel) are on sale on Steam right now.

I played it on the DS and I loved it. I will probably pick it up for the Wii. I loved this game so much. That I wanted to move to France afterwards :P

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

It's pretty fun. For some reason, I guess because it's old school, I thought the puzzles would be harder. Good dialogue and characters, though.
