how would you rate the virtual console thus far (1-10)

Total:0

the virtual console has been one of my most written about topics over the years.

I made a thread about my vc wish list: here

wii shop updates i'd like to see: here

and a thread about the best of the best games that have already been released: here

at the end of the day, if I had to rate the vc up to this point, i would give it a 7.5/10. sure there are still a dozen+ games that i would like to see released (over 3 years after the consoles launch) and there are some game releases that are just mind boggling, but at the end of the day, it's a weekly service with an average of 2 releases per week (340 games have been released in NA thus far) and i'd say a good 30% of those are worth your money.

i personally own 17 vc games so im sure that helps my opinion of the service.

what do you guys think?

Nintendo didn't even have to do this, but it's amazing. It allows veteran gamers to relive past games, and for new gamers to play old games they may have missed. My wish list for what I wanted has been fulfilled as of 12/21, and more games that I may want to play will pop up weekly.

8/10

There are a lot of missed opportunities with the Virtual Console right now. Quite a few games are missing and we'll never catch up with 1 release per week, there are no handheld games, they could be releasing territory-specific games in other regions (Terranigma?), WFC could be used for multiplayer, etc.

I only give it an 8 because it's still a phenomenal service.

Currently playing: Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, NBA2k11, Metal Gear Solid, Picross 3d

Even though, like Sorcery said, there are a lot of missed opportunities, it's nice to see that Nintendo actually did it. I really couldn't have asked for a better DLC service.

9/10 - Blaster Master just added two points in my eyes. There are still some games that I hope for.

My thoughts to the Tee.... wheres Knuckles Chaotix?, but overall I love it

9/10

It has all the games I want on it, although the prices are a bit much, if you use your credit card to buy points it won't be as bad.

I so far only used the surface to catch up on the games I missed from kirby and mario. Also to replay Orcarina of time. Also to play one of sonic's best games! To be fair though. I need to buy some more. Their are tons of games I need to get. For now 8/10

7/10 so far, but if Duck Tales shows up. 10 right off the bat.

I'm not gonna rate it, but I will say its pretty darn good. I only wish they had put VC on the DS. Most of these games I would only want to play on a portable.
