Its a third person action game similiar to God of War with some originality unlike the shameless rip-off Dante's Inferno.

Its currently at 89 on meta

I plan to get it on the cheap. Way too much stuff coming that i'm more hyped for. My January money is being saved for MAG.

... So it's another GoW rip off that does one or two things on it's own so it can't be considered an exact clone like DI ? o.O

... No thanks.

Seriously, I hate when a game just "borrows" everything from existing games... there's nothing original or unique about games that do it... why can't developers sort of like, y'know... think of NEW ideas? o.O

From what I've seen Darksiders has alot more in common with Zelda than with God of War.

I'm considering buying it, still unsure.

From what I have heard, it borrows a lot of things from a lot of different games, and combines all these elements really well. Supposedly, it doesn't actually have much in common with God of War, but is actually closer to Zelda.

Seems pretty interesting imo.

Gameplay video's that i've seen, it didn't look much like GoW to me. You should look a few up and see for yourself.

My brother has this and Bayonetta coming from GameFly when they come out.

It's not really fair to compare it to GoW, it has the elements there but it's not really the main inspiration.

From what I've seen I'd call it a western, perhaps more mature, take on Zelda. The core gameplay is you go from one dungeon to another, unlock a new power / weapon there and then use it to solve various puzzles. Plus all the unlocks are then used to go further in the games world.

It's got a huge focus on combat more so then Zelda though, which is where the God of War comparisons come from.

I've only read positive things so far, and am undoubtedly going to get this, but not for a few months as I've just got too many games to play at the moment.
