That Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games is being released in the U.S. TODAY?!!

Where was the hype train I saw earlier? It's almost as if people forgot this game existed! Not that I was going to buy it anyways, but it seems odd that such a hyped game is now almost completely forgotten about. 

Ehh I knew it was coming out today, but Im not interested. Seems like a game for the casuals to buy around the Olympics. And I think it will sell fairly well when advertised during the Olympics. However, right now, it won't do well.

Well, Sega did say that it was going to sell 4 million, now I wonder...

I think you all see what I'm getting at...

I think they are saving all the advertisements for the Olympics. Think of how many people watch the olympics. MILLIONS. Advertising a Mario and Sonic Olympic game during the Olympics would be a great move. Hopefully they do it. I would love to see this game sell 4 mil. but I really dont even see it hitting 1 mil at this point.

Then why did they release it now and not at the time of the Olympics?

Just seems silly.

Honestly I am just not that interested in the game, but I might be pursuaded to get it come time for the olympics and I get into that mood =P

honestly, was never interested in that game and am from europe. says it all.

Maybe they figured that instead from combined launch and olympics sales, they could move more units by getting launch, holiday, and a olympics sales separately?

This game is definitely going to sell insanely well, but I don't expect it to be too good. Then again I just tried Mario Party 8 during the weekend (Metacritic average of 60-something) and absolutely loved it. Too early to judge, I suppose.
