This is Earth, the planet where we live. Everything we have ever known, life, love, war, peace, art, music, history has all taken place on this planet.

This is a picture of the Earth taken by Voyager from the edge of our solar system. Astronomers originally wandered if it was a spec of dust that got in the way.

This is the milky way, our galaxy. This galaxy consists of billions of star systems like ours, with billions of tiny "specs of dust" like out planet.

This is the Hubble ultra deep field image, this shows billions of galaxies just like the Milky way, billions of galaxies with billions of stars, which adds up to trillions upon trillions upon trillions of "specs of dust" like Earth. (Click on this link to see the full image).

It's a wonderful speach, but it still feels like it's missing something without the oddly captivating drone of Carl Sagan's voice.

Personally, i don't get the "small" feeling. Then again, the size comparisions don't come as new stuff to me.
