So then piracy is really only harmful to PC games, since there will almost certainly be more people that rent/borrow or buy used for those consoles games while the piracy of them will slow dramatically as people move on to newer games. Also, it's important to note that SF4 on PC was pirated twice as much as MW2 on 360 despite fighting games not doing so well on PCs.

That should be a lesson - don't make games for PC without an alternative revenue structure. Or at the very least, release it later than the console versions.

The PS3 copy protection scheme has never been cracked.  As a result, piracy on the PS3 is nonexistant.  It may happen in the future, but I doubt it.

A lot of people don't buy PS3s because simply, it's impossible to play pirated games on them. Some people only buy a few pirated games... they only buy originals when they want to play that game online.

I'd be interested to see what the figures are for handhelds...

Then again, a lot of games pirated on handhelds are downloaded from a filehosting site rather than torrented, so this site's method might be less reliable for them.
