Playstation eyetoy didnt sell so i doubt Natal will.

PS Home is not a failure.

And even if Natal turns out to be a failure Microsoft will pull out some nice spin, don't worry, it will be okay.

Well let's just put it this way: Sony's third attempt at a successful PS3 motion controller will be a Natal clone.

Well let's just put it this way: Microsoft's first attempt at a successful Xbox 360 motion controller will be an EyeToy clone.

See, I can be biased too!

How about being honest, both of you. Whatever happens, it will end up being a clone of something made by Nintendo.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

well lets just say...microsofts 1st attempt of a successful motion controller will be a Eye Toy clone

and on topin. no, not at all. although Natal will be succsessful to the user base but cant see it pushing hardware at all, Wii owns it

Natal & PSwand will fail to sell to new market only the established users

Oh yeah, I'm just joking around. Personally, I don't think Natal will be very successful and I definitely don't see it being anywhere near as successful as the Wii. Similarily, I don't see Gem (or whatever Sony call their motion controller) being terribly successful either. If it's bundled with all ps3s once it releases, it will move a lot of hardware, but I don't see that being hardware that wouldn't have been moved either. Natal and Gem might sell a lot, but I don't see it being hardware that would not have been sold anyway, so it will just add a new gaming dimension to 360/PS3, but not a new audience that wasn't coming anyway.

@PlaystaionGamer: Yes, I did get there first

Do you guys think Natal will boost the HW sales of the Xbox 360 ?

I doubt it , I think it won't do much and end up as a faillure like Playstation Home .

I don't see people waiting for something like Natal .

I highly doubt it will work well and people acctualy will enjoy it.Becaus when i think of gaming , i don't want to crawl trough our living room pretending i'm Sam Fisher with a fake gun in my hands...  When i think of gaming , i just wan't to sit down in a chair and play a game with a controller in my hand !

It would be cool for mini-games , but that doesn't push sales in my eye.

Excuse me for my bad English .

PS Home was supposed to move consoles? According to who?

Also, it's a failure? Again, according to whom?

Why, according to Kratos_36 of course!

Yes. Kwaad.

Yes. twesterm.

I'm curious, what does Sony doing have anything to do with the topic?

PlayStation Home is mentioned in the original post.

As a failure, and Home has nothing to do with Legend's post either. He said Sony would "copy" Natal, which has nothing to do with Home, at all.

Also, who the heck is "kwaad", and if twesterm thinks Home is a failure, the question remains.

These days Sony tends to shamelessly copy whatever is successful (eg. Xbox Live, Wii Remote, Achievements, etc) so saying that their next attempt at a motion controller will be a Natal clone is a way of saying Natal is going to be a success.

I remember a lot of people thinking HOME would be a big player this gen. I also remember a lot of posts after it came out about how disappointing it was. I don't think I'd call it a failure, but I do think some people's expectations were a bit high (as usual).

In light of what I just wrote, I can see NATAL falling into this same description. Only time will tell though.
