Godfather, and Scarface, are not very good games at all. They got bad reviews, and they're both movie games.

Yeah, my friend has a Wii and I only thoroughly enjoy Zelda, and Resident Evil 4 (I played it on PS2, and GC, I just love that game). I just can't stand MP3, so I haven't played that but he tells me that he's pretty disappointed in that purchase...

I actually find it hard to believe that anyone can not like MP3. I'm a good way through it and can testify that it is an absolute work of art. The controls, the visuals, the puzzles, the ememies, all just absolutely brilliant.

I'm thinking that either A) you don't like FPS/FPAs,  B) you don't like games where you have to think or C)...........you're a chauvinist who's against female bounty hunters??

Can you possibly expand on why you did't like it?

Like I said before, the PS3 and the Wii are practically the same console.

"Just wait, and the console's savior will arrive!"

Brawl sits back there eating Fritos, pouring from a keg. Galaxy rides forward on a gleaming white stallion. Manhunt 2 sits there cutting his wrists.

I agree. Both systems have had good games. Some are hit and miss. (ie. me loving Heavenly Sword and hating Excite Truck) The cry from both camps is: Ooo, can't wait til game "x" comes out! The drought is almost over!

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

Until this discussion, I have not heard anyone say, "Wait til X comes out to save the Wii" while that has been the common refrain for the PS3.

However, I will say that the Wii is not for everyone. If you like FPS or sports, it is not the console for you. If you like minigame collections, it is without peer.

Also, another thing to remember is that it appears to me that some reviewers don't know how to handle a Wii game because of a prefernece for eye candy.

Please don't take this as a "dish" on the other two systems -- since I don't own them I cannot really comment on them. The 360 looks to be a great system if it doesn not fail. And once Sony decides on what the PS3 is going to be, it might be good too (though the apparent abandonment of BC upsets me).

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

Like Biggerboat, I'm curious as to why you can't stand MP3.  Especialy since you haven't played it yet.  Seriously, you can't stand a game you haven't played?  No wonder you're disappointed!  Seriously, I don't see how someone can enjoy Zelda and not Metroid, because they're basically the same game from different perspectives.  One is third person with a sword, the other is first person with power beams.  Other than that, they're both adventure games where you explore new areas, collect powerups (Heart containers?  Energy tanks?  Beam weapon upgrades?  Master Sword?  Hookshot?  Grapple Beam?  Anyone?), defeat enemies and bosses, and save the world.

The complaints I hear about the Wii's game library are just puzzling.  If I had a dime for every time someone said "it's great if you like party games" I'd have enough money to buy everyone on this message board their own Wii complete with ten good non-party games.  I've got half a dozen Wii games, and I don't even have time to buy and play several others that I'd like to enjoy.  That's right -- you heard it here first -- the Wii has too many games for me.  It's an utter disappointment.

you guys are jumping on someone bashing a game and having played it, uhm how many of you guys have bashed Lair and havent played it??

Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn.

Tormod does not get enough dialogue in the story and that angers me oh so much.

Something interesting to note: Super Mario Galaxy, if it remains on it's current review path, will be the Wii's 4th AAA game (9+ on gamerankings) in its first year. Take a look at these fun numbers from the first year of each console:

9+ rated games in year 1:

Xbox 360
-Gears of War (TPS)
-GRAW (FPS)
-Call of Duty 2 (FPS)
-Oblivion (WRPG)

Playstation 3
-Oblivion (WRPG)

Wii
-Twilight Princess (Action-Adventure)
-Resident Evil 4 (TPS/Survival Horror)
-Metroid Prime 3 (FPS/Adventure)
-Super Mario Galaxy (Platformer)

All games listed above are based on Gamerankings.

So, everyone bitching about the Wii's first year of games should really take a step back and look at the bigger picture. It's had the same amount of AAA games as the 360 in it's first year, but a much more diverse range of genres. Now, that said, it's list of 8.0 games is much smaller, but I really don't see how people who bought 360s and launch and Wiis at launch can suddenly complain about the Wii's first year offerings when the 360's were arguably even worse.

Because the Wii was supposed to be cupcakes and sprinkles.

Also, people are hypocrites.
