PS3 made a new record this week by selling 1m units Worldwide.What will be the next time this would happen again?

Some of the scenarios's when PS3 can sell 1m WW in the future:

Gran Turismo European and NA release

Gran Turismo Worldwide release with Japan

God of War release WW

FF13 Versus release next year same time as FF13 release

FF13 Versus release WW

Black Friday 2010

That's a tough one, its chances are very low now.

Gran Turismo NA/EU release could do it maybe...but it depends on when they release also. If during the holiday season, I think the PS3 could break a million again or get close.

Hmm, will be difficult. But i think 3 more times are possible.

GT5 release if bundles are present.

Christmas 2010 depending on game launches/deals.

Christmas at $199.

Black Friday week 2010 is possible.

Black Friday week 2011 is possible too.

if a dragon quest or monster hunter get released in japan for the ps3. Then maybe a slight chance but it would have to be around this time of year. So very unlikely.

PS3 can hit another million worldwide only on a holiday season with the release of a most anticipated game WW. I really doubt it can do it outside of the holiday season. It needs those two boosts: a game release and the holiday season

it could be close again next week if not then next holiday season it wont do it on GT5 or other SW releases next year unless there are bundles

Here's what I think

1. Its a very longshot but maybe Gran Turismo 5 WW release like you said

2. Black Friday 2010; decent shot

3. Week before Christmas 2010; good shot

4. Price drop to $249; probably not but it will increase sales a lot (not for like 2 years though!)

Most likely Never again.

In fact, if not for final fantasy the ps3 wouldn't have done it this year
