The Blu Ray is a non issue for me and for a lot of people with HD TV's. A good upscaling DVD player - like the 360 gives you a very good picture from SD DVD's - especially if you use a VGA connection.

Also while Live does cost $50/yr for a Gold Account you do not need to get it right away since you can use a silver account to try it (most likely you will get some free Gold account hours as well with your initial purchase) .... and at the end of the day you get what you pay for ;) - common Live functionality across every 360 game is a good thing.

If you have a good broadband account you can DL lots of HD content as well from the Live Marketplace in the form of rentals for movies and TV shows.

The new 360's have the new chip and combined with the 3 yr warranty you are pretty well protected from hardware issues.

Right now you can get some very nice bundles with the Premium model.

Actually, I have never paid more than $30 a year with Live. I buy my cards off eBay. You can get it cheaper than that. You have to do some searching, though ...

Yeah, i was going to say... Most people who own all 3 consoles tend to like their 360's best... so I don't know where you get that from Zackblue.

I'm pretty sure Starcraft and Rocketpig have all 3 as well don't they? They seem to favor their 360's as well.

360 now. PS3 later.

A 360 will pay off much more nicely now, not only in the hot current game releases but in the vast libary available to you for cheap (Platinum Hits collection).

The PS3 is more appealing down the road, after some of its killer titles are released and it might even get another pricedrop.

Wii60 FTW.

So what ?In my opinion its PS3,then 360 and then Wii .You can play most 360 games in PC and with better versions .Plus I dont want to pay for online gaming .And the BR player and BC (in 60-80Gb models ) are some real pluses .


And you own all 3?  Considering how much you seem to hate anything not Sony i'd be quite surprised by that.

Personally I would recommend the PS3, just due to games coming up in the next year. But that is my opinion on the matter.

I'm actually debating on if I should go and sell my 360 now. Halo 3 lost it's luster to me in about a week and I really don't see any games coming out exclusive for it that really get my interest.

I would also recommend pming KW29 - he just sold his Elite for a used PS3 60gb. I have yet to hear from anyone who had a PS3 and sold it to hop into the 360 camp yet ...

As Mr. Smith pointed out earlier, to run Bioshock, you can forget spending $300 making a PC that can run it ... unless you know a crackhead or two ... but for $279 and change, you can play Bioshock - Halo 3. On a PC? Good luck - it will be next year, at the earliest, before Halo 3 is close to coming to PC. He stated PS3 and 360. PC was never said - and based on his financial state, a PC is far more expensive than a PS3.
