Dont listen to monatana he has a 360 only therefore he is somewhat of a fanboy(sorry its true)

Ratchet and clank is amazing you wont be able to play that

Haze as well

I would get the ps3. Why? Becuase I am the only one on the site that has all 3 and trust me get a ps3.

how did you get that idea? iv'e got all consoles and I like the 360 way more then the ps3.

They are about the same price now ,but the PS3 has free online gaming unlike the 360 so you save money .In fact once you get this fact into account it is cheaper .

Besides ,the PS3 has a Blu Ray player if you have a HDTV its a must own for movies .

And ,if you buy the 80Gb version you will have as well backwards compatibility with all the back catalogue of the PS1 and PS2 .

As for games go ,the PS3 will have a lot more exclusives in the future that the 360 .Games like Wardevil Enigma ,Fifth Phantom Saga ,White Knigt Story ,Final Fantasy XIII ,Final Fantasy XIII Versus ,Afrika ,Tekken 6 ,Metal Gear Solid 4 ,Gran Turismo 5 ,Ratchet and Clank ,Jak and Daxter ,Wipeout HD ,SOCOM Confrontation ,Disgaea 3 ,Yakuza 3 ,Nob Nob Boy ,Brave Arms ,Chain Limit ,Second Season 01 ,Coded Arms Assault ,Killzone 2 .....the 360 next year will have less exclusives and some of its actual exclusives are coming to PS3 as well (Ace Combat 6 ,Bioshock ,Eternal Sonata ,etc ) .

If you have a good PC you can play most 360 games there ,I would go for a PS3 instead .

That hasn't been confirmed Diomedes.

@eddie182-  Take a look at the current and future exclusives for both consoles. If your going to make a $350-400 investment you want to have something to look forward to down the line as well as being able to play with at the moment.

Right now you should get a 360 because it has better games, online, ect. In a year or two get a PS3 because it will have better games and the price will be much lower.

So what ?In my opinion its PS3,then 360 and then Wii .You can play most 360 games in PC and with better versions .Plus I dont want to pay for online gaming .And the BR player and BC (in 60-80Gb models ) are some real pluses .

For the folks at home keeping score ...

For the 360: 15
For the PS3: 4

I would say 360 right now - it has the strongest lineup, the ability to play most older Xbox games, and is as cheap as a Wii ($279). If you want to upgrade, you can. So what about RRoD. You get a 3-year warranty and honestly, my son took out my 360, not the hardware. I sent it off and got it back.

And based on your games listed, the 360 own3 the PS3.

The PS3 forces you to buy into the BR format basically - with tons of options not even essential for gaming.

I have a 360 and a Wii - and won't buy a PS3 until it has at least 5 sweet games I would pay for.

360 - mostly due to the Library.

The Blu Ray is a non issue for me and for a lot of people with HD TV's. A good upscaling DVD player - like the 360 gives you a very good picture from SD DVD's - especially if you use a VGA connection.

Also while Live does cost $50/yr for a Gold Account you do not need to get it right away since you can use a silver account to try it (most likely you will get some free Gold account hours as well with your initial purchase) .... and at the end of the day you get what you pay for ;) - common Live functionality across every 360 game is a good thing.

If you have a good broadband account you can DL lots of HD content as well from the Live Marketplace in the form of rentals for movies and TV shows.

The new 360's have the new chip and combined with the 3 yr warranty you are pretty well protected from hardware issues.

Right now you can get some very nice bundles with the Premium model.

Get a 360. They've got most of the reliability issues fixed, and the system has a much better library. Not to mention the fact that the system is pretty much guaranteed at least a decent library of games in the future, thanks to MS's commitment to porting games from their "Games for Windows" platform.

There's close to nothing worthwhile on the PS3 right now: Ratchet & Clank (of which there's four iterations on the PS2 already), Warhawk, Resistance, and... not much else. Most of what PS3 owners are looking forward to are as-yet-unreleased games, which may or may not be not worth it. (Just look at the pre-release hype surrounding Heavenly Sword and Lair...) Finally, the PS3 is more expensive, and unless you REALLY want a Blu-Ray player, you're really getting less for more.

The PS3 has a way better first year software that what the 360 had last year .And you can play most 360 games on the PC as well .And better ,as Gears of War and Bioshock are better in the PC and Viva Piñata will be as well .At least the PS3 has real exclusives and not shared with the PC ,and it has free online that effectively makes it cheaper than the 360 ,and a Blu Ray player that if you have a HDTV its a must own .Plus its still far more reliable ,I wouldnt say the 360 has the reliability issues fixed ...unless you call sending the 360 to the technic service having anything solved .

Except you can't buy a PC that can run Gears, Bioshock, and Viva Pinata for $279. Plus, for a PC, you need to run Vista, which is a hassle in and of itself - not to mention an extra expense. A new copy of Vista is nearly as much money as a 360 Arcade. A minor graphical upgrade isn't worth the extra expense and headaches.

Also, please name some good PS3 exclusives aside from the three I mentioned, because I don't think there are any.

You have a point there with the free online - which would mean something if there were anything worth playing online on the PS3 besides Warhawk.

And Blu-Ray isn't "a must-have if you have an HDTV." Honestly, I've seen both Blu-Ray and an upscaling DVD player side by side, and the difference isn't worth re-buying your entire DVD collection.

Finally, with the new models (basically anything with HDMI), MS fixed the primary hardware issue which was causing the RRoD.

Keep in mind that I'm not a 360 fanboy. I love my Wii, and I can't imagine any current-gen system being better than it. But as for the HD systems, the 360 is clearly superior.

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

I own a Wii and if I were to buy another console now I would get a 360. No question. As muc has it might pain me as I previously have had a huge bias against Xbox it appears like the best move.

People didn't invent Wii60 for no reason. The systems compliment each other very well. The 360's biggest weakness are the lack of casual/party/non-shooter games. This is no peoblem becasue you have a Wii. The lineup is also the strongest right now while the Wii is at is weakest since it is newish. So you will have plenty of games now and later. Many people argue the wait and see for the PS3 but in a year or wo when it picks up steam the Wii will be going full tilt and it may not be worthwhile since you will have plenty of selecition.

The price difference is much bigger than people make out. Yes the systems are closer in price but the 360 is getting much better bundles this holiday. Also there are plenty of 360 games in the used/greatest hits pile while anything you get for the PS3 is $59 bucks. So for $600 you could get $400 PS3, 3 games, Spider-Man 3,1 blu-ray movie or 360 elite, Forza 2/Marvel, year of live gold, Halo 1-3, 4 used/greatest hits games.

Final* Word on Game Delays:

The game will not be any better or include more content then planned. Any commnets that say so are just PR hogwash to make you feel better for having to wait.

Delays are due to lack of proper resources, skill, or adequate planning by the developer.

Do be thankful that they have enough respect for you to delay the game and maintain its intended level of quality.
