Forums - Gaming Discussion - Should i get a PS3 or X360? (Wii owner)

All of the games you listed are 360 exclusives or multi-platforms.

Therefore i'd conclude anyone who tries to talk you into a PS3 really isn't thinking about which system you should get... but which system they want you to get.

There are no PS3 games you want to play, you find it expensive, every single game you want is coming out on the 360...

Yeah, the PS3 has some good games coming up, but I suggest you just get the 360.

This thread has to have been created as a joke. The only other option is the creator is ...

I'd rather have a system that lasts me alot longer then the 1- 3 year warranty whatever Microsoft is offering for it. I've had my super Nintendo for 14 years, and my 64 for 10. I don't feel it is right to give money to a company that is selling a faulty product.

Bud, If your playing your snes and n64 these days I don't think you should worry much about the hd consoles. Furthermore, its not a faulty product my two year old 360 has never had a problem. If it were in the next year I'll live for the 2-3 weeks to get a replacement. If it breaks 2 years I'll just buy a new one :> and upgrade to the hdmi version. So if you don't feel right about giving money to someone. Good for you. I and millions others will still give our money to support our entertainment.

I still play my NES and SNES too... because believe it or not... they have worthwhile games.  Every console does, even the Atari.  (Even the virtual boy if you don't get headaches)  That's why it's best to get all the systems if you can afford it.

Don't get cranky because someone can have fun with a system still when newer ones are out.

The N64's controller is a pain though, so I usually avoid that unless i'm playing one of the first two pokemon games, Golden Eye party or Mario Kart Battle Mode party.

Also, I'm sure there are some PS3 exclusives you'll miss.... but why worry about future exclusives and give up games you want to play now and know you want to play now?

Also... why is it that whenever someone posts a topic like this... fanboys fight each other as if this one sale is going to turn the tide of the console war forever?

Can't you guys be objective and step outside of your fanboyness to actually see what's best for the guy asking the question? If not why bother posting.

I swear, the guy could ask what system he should get and say he likes only Halo games and there is an offer where if his 360 breaks he instantly gets a new one delivered to his house the second it breaks and some people would come in telling him he should get a PS3 for Killzone 2 or a Wii for Metroid Prime 3.

Get a 360. They've got most of the reliability issues fixed, and the system has a much better library. Not to mention the fact that the system is pretty much guaranteed at least a decent library of games in the future, thanks to MS's commitment to porting games from their "Games for Windows" platform.

There's close to nothing worthwhile on the PS3 right now: Ratchet & Clank (of which there's four iterations on the PS2 already), Warhawk, Resistance, and... not much else. Most of what PS3 owners are looking forward to are as-yet-unreleased games, which may or may not be not worth it. (Just look at the pre-release hype surrounding Heavenly Sword and Lair...) Finally, the PS3 is more expensive, and unless you REALLY want a Blu-Ray player, you're really getting less for more.

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

Get a 360, it's this generations PS2 - it will have more exclusives, is cheaper and has better online play.

They are about the same price now ,but the PS3 has free online gaming unlike the 360 so you save money .In fact once you get this fact into account it is cheaper .

Besides ,the PS3 has a Blu Ray player if you have a HDTV its a must own for movies .

And ,if you buy the 80Gb version you will have as well backwards compatibility with all the back catalogue of the PS1 and PS2 .

As for games go ,the PS3 will have a lot more exclusives in the future that the 360 .Games like Wardevil Enigma ,Fifth Phantom Saga ,White Knigt Story ,Final Fantasy XIII ,Final Fantasy XIII Versus ,Afrika ,Tekken 6 ,Metal Gear Solid 4 ,Gran Turismo 5 ,Ratchet and Clank ,Jak and Daxter ,Wipeout HD ,SOCOM Confrontation ,Disgaea 3 ,Yakuza 3 ,Nob Nob Boy ,Brave Arms ,Chain Limit ,Second Season 01 ,Coded Arms Assault ,Killzone 2 .....the 360 next year will have less exclusives and some of its actual exclusives are coming to PS3 as well (Ace Combat 6 ,Bioshock ,Eternal Sonata ,etc ) .

If you have a good PC you can play most 360 games there ,I would go for a PS3 instead .

The PS3 has a way better first year software that what the 360 had last year .And you can play most 360 games on the PC as well .And better ,as Gears of War and Bioshock are better in the PC and Viva Piñata will be as well .At least the PS3 has real exclusives and not shared with the PC ,and it has free online that effectively makes it cheaper than the 360 ,and a Blu Ray player that if you have a HDTV its a must own .Plus its still far more reliable ,I wouldnt say the 360 has the reliability issues fixed ...unless you call sending the 360 to the technic service having anything solved .
