Forums - PC Discussion - Which laptop should I get?

Long story short, I'm going to be gone for 5 years and will leave most of my possessions behind so I need a new laptop that can last me for approximately that long (maybe even shorter). So far, I found two that might do the job.

Anyways, I'm just wondering if the extra 350 dollars is worth it for the second one or if the first one can last me for a really long time. I want to play games on this laptop (obviously) and...yeah.

Well also you get bluray reader on there, that alone adds anther 100 bucks, an extra 2 gigs on a normal desktop isn't that much but I'm guessing it gos for moree on a laptop. The i7 should be better than the quad and I can't say anything about the graphics card.

Submarines.

So would I need the bluray and core i7 and the extra RAM in a year or two?

Best explanation ever.

What do you want to use the laptop for?

Mostly gaming. I'm going install as much PC games as I have onto it and more if I get the chance in the future. Other than that, it's going to be for whatever work that requires me to use the laptop (which I assume will utilize MS Office) and maybe buy and watch movies.

OT:

i u plan on heavy gaming i recommend an asus for tha price those 2 laptops are way overpriced and the gpu they come with are pretty bad

Don't think I'll have time to be heavy gaming but now that I think about it, I might go with this one

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductReview.aspx?Item=N82E16834146613

at $1000, it has the Core i7 and a GT 240M. This is probably the best deal and I can just upgrade the RAM.
