I've been trying to get our reviewers to get a review up for a while now but it keeps getting pushed back.

No worries - I heard that someone was available to review the game (there must be lots of people on the review team with access to the US WiiWare catalog...). I know its not the most high profile game out there - but I hope someone has a chance to play and review it soon-ish ;)

.... you messaged me about it once, two weeks ago lol. At which point I immediately started hunting down someone to review it and having Keith start working on a review copy, during which time you posted once more on the mod forums that "someone should review it" without bothering to check with me if anyone was.

It didn't keep getting pushed back, it was released during the GotY articles and literallly every one of our reviewers capable of reviewing WiiWare games was assisting with those in some capacity or another. After that I just lost track of it. I'm now overriding my own 60 day review window from release rule to get it written, so bugger off Jacob.

Hahaha :)

Flowerworks leads to internal VG meltdown?

Seriously, thanks for all the effort to everyone involved (with reviews) - after writing just *one*, I realised I didn't have anywhere near the spare time I thought I had to write lots...

Indeed. Some people seem to have fallen under the misconception that just because reviewing games is easier than making games reviewing games is easy, and thus reviews should be mocked. However, I can't recall ever spending under two and a half hours on a review, and that's not counting the time I spend actually playing the game in addition to the editing and of course figuring out how you're going to be analyzing the game in the first place.

Agreed! Its pretty much like anything in life really - any cowboy can have a go at it, but to do it *properly* requires serious effort and time.

But yeah... reviewing is nothing compared to making a game (even a simple one).

Yup, and proud of it. As an Indy dev, I'm going to do whatever-it-takes to make my studios game (and my studio) as successful as possible.

The other side of the coin, is that I see people here who are genuinely interested in seeing how game dev really works.
