Now, let me make this clear immediately: This is not a thread for games you dislike. This is a thread for games that you do like, but that you still think are overrated. So for example, most people know that I don't care for MGS4. In this thread, I will not say MGS4, because I'm supposed to say games that I actually do like, but not as much as most do. Get it? Good!

For me, I'd probably have to say Okami. I think it's a fine game, but I don't think it's anywhere near as great as everyone says it is.

Infamous.... It was a solid game but i didn't think it was as great as everyone says it is. It got boring and i had to trade it in.
Then MGS4, I loved it gameplay wise, but story wise it was terrible.

Probably Gears of War. It's nice but it's not particularly great.

MGS3&4, one had shitty outdated controls but good story and ending the other had good controls with shitty story and shittier ending. Both games were enjoyably however.

Gears of War 2: The SP is great, especially when played with splitscreen but I didn't find the games all that amazing as I heard.


their are lots of games I feel the same way in past gens but I'll just stop here for now.

Half Life 2 The Orange Box. I never really got into it. Seems like a great game, but I bought it after Metroid Prime 3 and haven't been able to play through dual analog FPS since. I'll go back and finish it one of these days.

Man, inFamous. I've been told by a few people that there's one hell of a plot swerve later on in the game, but I can't motivate myself to play it.

Prince of Persia (PS3/360), too. I played all of the PoP games from the 6th gen and I loved them. The one from last year was fun for a while, but then it got REALLY boring.

Bioshock. It was a good game, but how the hell did it become the GoTY so many places and get all that critical acclaim? It's not that good. To me.

Prototype (was horrible imo)

Modern Warfare 1+2 (Bought both and I just couldn't see the major appeal, but it's probably just me)

Tekken 6 (Street Fighter ruined it for me, plus the awkward stalls when choosing characters)

Super Mario Bros. 3

Metal Gear Solid 3
