nice, but is 28m worth the attention? i mean, 25m is a nice number, and 30m will be partytime. but 28m? whats next, 'gratz to 28,23m'?

lets wait for the cool numbers.

I'm a Foreigner, and as such, i am grateful for everyone pointing out any mistakes in my english posted above - only this way i'll be able to improve. thank you!

Who said PS3 wont beat Wii to reach 5m before Wii reaches 10m, obviously PS3 will win.

This is a dubious distinction and I am wondering have we as gamers reduced ourselves to this? I guess we have!

Congrats Sony, even if I do not own any of your consoles. What? No one said this party was for Sony fans only.

Now, excuse me while I go introduce myself to the lady in red standing near the punch bowl.

If Nintendo is successful at the moment, it’s because they are good, and I cannot blame them for that. What we should do is try to be just as good.----Laurent Benadiba

Congratz PS3, but not because the 28 million, or Japan's 4 million, it's because that means that the PS3 is the first console in 3rd place that sells that much, and it has reached that position in 3 years... soon it will beat the Mega Drive and the Nintendo 64, making it the 2nd best-selling loser console (and if it beats the 360 it will be the best-selling loser console), and this achievement (or trophy XD ) is unedited in the history of console wars, especially if we count the entry price, the dev problems and Microsoft's war games...

In other news, the Wii is soon to reach the NES total sales, and this also in 3 years... It will become the best-selling Nintendo console ever, now the question is: Can it beat the PS2? or at least the PS1? we'll see...

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

That isn't the topic of the thread though.

ya but 4mil is kinda the same thing tho.... it isnt rly a cool number :)

4 million and 9 million are kinda weird milestones.

I'll be more interested to see if PS3 gets to 5min before Wii gets to 10 min.

Yeah it does seem a little odd celebrating one system getting to an arbitrary sales figure which is less than half the sales figures of an arbitrary sales figure for another system. I mean, look at it from an outsider's perspective, it really isn't a milestone at all. Neither is reaching 5M before Wii reaches 10M, except that if/when it happens it will be a mark that PS3 beat Wii in this year's peak selling period, which is the real achievement since it's a never been done thing.
