Forums - General Discussion - RCA student radically improves the UK plug

The Royal College of Art's graduate show has opened, and this year, the show-stopper was a plug. Min-Kyu Choi impressed every passer by with his neat, apparently market-ready plug that folds down to the width of an Apple MacBook Air. "The MacBook Air is the world's thinnest laptop ever. However, here in the UK, we still use the world's biggest three-pin plug," says Choi.

I personally think this is amazing!

Amazingly clever design.

Currently playing: Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, NBA2k11, Metal Gear Solid, Picross 3d

If he's so smart, why has he made the 3 way adapter upside down?

I love US and Japanese electronics for their compact plugs :(

It's amazing no-one has tried to develop this kind of product before. Perhaps their is a problem with it's function because I can't imagine he's the first person to try this. But if it works then this is great.

He's just holding it upside down to show both sides.  He should have switched hands and takent he shot from the other angle.

I'd imagine nobody tried this before because of "If it aint broke, dont fix it".

But this, this is a REALLY good idea.

Well done that man.

Also, the Dell Adamo is the world's thinnest laptop.
