Forums - Gaming Discussion - As a Tri-Console Owner Next Year Will Be Awesome Discussion Trolls Stay OUT

@disolitude my gf used to be the same, she'd be on the phone I'll pop in Gears of War, or any other shooter, next thing I know I'm playing Turok and she's sleeping. There are some games she does enjoy like Katamari, LBP, Flower, and Pikmin (she'd get upset if I let Pikmin die...) maybe you can try those?

lol...i jsut told you my schedule. no room for time management there... Wait till you live with a gf/wife. Game changes then.

You will sit there watching some silly show with her and everything will be ok...but if you go 5 feet away to play a game on your monitor while the show is still on...all hell breaks loose! Thats not "quality time with gf"

See this is why you score yourself a gamer girl. Quality time with the gf has consisted of me playing NSMBWii lately. She enjoys watching me speed run levels, and show off. It is pretty freaking awesome. I do agree about the gaming time problem when you start getting on with your life. I can squeeze out some lengthier sessions on occasion, but my game time on average has tanked. Having a little one running around makes it more difficult too.

lol...I don't know, one cant really choose based on small characteristics who they like and fall for right.

Im happy with gf as things are...

Once kids come in, yeah its back to playing minesweeper at work :)

lol...playing Turok? I don't know, I'd prolly poke my eyes out if I had to watch someone play that :)

My gf does enjoy watching me play Halo 3 and Geometry wars 2 for some reason. She doesn't play anything herself though. Gets angry too easily...

PC gaming is getting badass as well. MMOs are kickin it high-gear:
Mabinogi Heroes, Tera Online, Continent of the ninth, Dragon Nest, maybe Blade & Soul ... and so much more.

As someone who's collecte a lot of games, Id like time to catch up as well. I haven't played 10% of most of my games. 100 ps2 games, 40 gamecube + wii, 30 xbox, 30 ps3, 50 DS, 40 GBA, 20 GBC, 30 psn, 40 downloaded games... plus all those games on the pc..

How the hell can I play all those??!
But, FF13 takes precedence, and I want to play it above all those.

On a more serious note...
Who has time to play games on all 3 consoles?

To be honest, I find myself focusing on one console for a couple of weeks and neglecting the other two. Thats how I get around to playing most of my games.

Black Women Are The Most Beautiful Women On The Planet.

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

Im so glad this COD:MW2 waive is over and now we can return to regular gaming.

It was smart to delay these titles to 2010 cause games like MAG, Bayonetta, Bioshock would have seen less sales than they will in Q1 2010...and new IPs that came out in 2009 like Borderlands and Brutal Legend would have seen no traction what so ever.

I still don't know how anyone that has a full time job and responsibilites and is a proud 3 console owner will get to play all great games in 2010. Like I will barely be able to play the 360 ones I want with some Wii ones thrown in for good measure. Thats the only reason I dont have a PS3 yet. No time...

This kinda seems like you're insulting or trolling in this thread but I'll just ignore it.

I work part-time at a Best Buy/Future Shop. Im 19 years old in University. I mainly play my PS3 and the odd 360/Wii title. Uni is NOT as hard as many people make it. It's all about time management.

I dont know how you do it...but power to you.

I work 9 to 5...then to gym/swimming unitl 7. Dinner with gf and possible house work till 8. Maybe game till 10 or 11...and I can do this comfortably maybe 2-3 times a week. Freinds, family etc still take priority...

It's certainly often difficult to squeeze in enough time. In my case, I typically either rent or buy used and usually only play games half-way through.

I mean, a JRPG game often takes more than a month for me to finish. I really do get backlogged quite a bit. But it's a belssing sometimes as I tend to wait to purchase most games and score them for much cheaper.

On the plus side, because I'm a teacher, I have plenty of gaming time in the summer with having 7-12 work hours a day removed.

Hell, i wish i knew when Other M and SMG2 were going to release. But that's Nintendo. We'll know when we know.

It does look like a strong year, though it's a bit of a mystery if you go any further out than spring.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Indeed, next year will be one hell of a year for gaming...and I don't even have some games from last year that I want...

Here's all I can say: I will feel complete for 2010 if I buy on (console and its games listed):

1. PS3

-Gran Turismo 5
-God of War III
-Final Fantasy XIII (and FFVXIII if it does release in 2010)
-Heavy Rain

2. Xbox 360:

-Halo: Reach
-Alan Wake

3. Wii:

-Super Mario Galaxy 2
-Metroid: The Other M

Definitive (probably) games of a specific genre.

However, I can guarantee I'll be buying much more games than the ones mentioned.

Edit: Oh, and I'm very fortunate to have a girl-gamer gf, even if she's not too hardcore in gaming like I am.

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

I miss being a 3 platform owner (last gen was my only shot; four if you count the Dreamcast). You just play whatever and don't really care what system anything is on. Its all about the games.

I"m not able to afford 3 consoles this gen (or all of the great games either). But, in reality, I really don't think my increasingly adult life would have time for 3 consoles anymore. I'm no Peter Pan.

Well as soon as Nintendo brings the Black Wii over to the US I will be a triple console owner. So I will enjoy missing out on even more games due to lack of time. LOL
