It has the best stuff from all 2D Super Mario games, easily the best 2D jump 'n Run this generation.

It's worth buying a Wii for.

It's the epitome of the modern Mario game.

Simply put, it enjoys a fine-tuned difficulty curve, new and interesting ideas in almost every level, and a new layer of play via 2-4 player multiplayer. Not only that but its tight controls and the return of SMB3/SMW elements make it a subtle sense of evolution while being a complete and utter throwback to classic Mario.

For me, the defining factor of this game is the multiplayer. Countless hours of fun with my brother and friends.

Oddly, multiplayer makes the game harder in my mind. You're running into each other, blocking each other, accidentally killing each other, dragging the screen when someone lags behind or gets too far ahead, and freezes gameplay for a splitsecond when you die or get a power-up.

The freezing part is extremely hard to get used to. When one of my friends die, it becomes a chain reaction. Lets say Kevin dies: the lag it creates then kills me, and the lag that creates kills Daniel, and the lag that creates kills my brother Corin.

We end up laughing hysterically while yelling at each other over the lag. Looaaaaadddds of fun overall!

The 4 player mode sounds just too cool to be true.

The game is amazing. For the multiplayer, I'm only able to do 2 player, but man is it awesome, feels like a completely different game. The game could have had more Yoshi, but it's still my favorite 2D Mario game! :D

Oh, it really is that good. Brilliant, even.

It's a shame they haven't brought Racoon Mario, Frog Mario or Cape Mario back they were awesome power ups. Frog Mario could swim so smoothly it was jaw dropping.
