Forums - Sony Discussion - was home a bad idea

Has anyone been in the Far Cry 2 space recently? That place is like a ghost town and i am not joking although the last time i went on home was about 5 months ago.

the thing is changing though recent path adds, game launching for all sony games.

Microsoft doesnt seem to think so

When is the last time you've played farcry2? I liked the game, played most of the way through it months ago, and at that time the farcry2 space was always packed with people, but as games get older most likely their spaces popularity will dwindle. Same with the uncharted spaces, Sulleys bar used to be always packed, now the uncharted2 space is always packed. THIS IS NOT A BAD THING! It means they will have to contiually add new things, refining and adding more of 'what works' in home spaces to make them popular.  Just look at the bowling alley, it's still full because there's 6 pool tables, video games and bowling.

it's microsoft phylosophy to copy things, either they can make success from it or not, they just do it so it doesn't affect if they think it's a good inverstion or not.

once bill gates said the best way to be better programmer was to copy what others did, and he was in college he checked science trash cans for code.

I have a feeling when MS does their version of Home, everyone will consider it the 2nd coming of sliced bread. Call me cynical.

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

Meh. It's fine to copy others, or at least all companies do it. The wii has the greatest motion control scheme ever and what happens next? The other two are coming out w/ their own versions.

If MS came out with their own version of home I could care less, but it won't add much unless they can make it better in some ways than Sony, to put their own spin on it. You win by differentiating yourself, copying can only get you so far-- a B or C grade- not the A you want.
