YES! Definitely my favorite RPG and favorite game of all time. The story, battle system, and characters were all excellent. Also the soundtrack was amazing. Yasunori Mitsuda does not get enough credit. He is easily just as good, if not better, than Nobuo. The soundtracks for Chrono Trigger/Cross were excellent too.

I think Mitsuda gets a fair amount of credit for his work with the Chrono series and Xenogears. But you are certainly right, the score for Xenogears is easily among the best ever, it completely captures the atmosphere of the game.

It's really one of the best fan releases for any game. You should also try to find "Time & Space - A Tribute to Yasunori Mitsuda" while not as grand in scope as the Humans + Gears remix, it is still really solid and contains songs from Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, and Xenogears.

Perfectly reasonable, FFVI is a game every RPG fan needs to complete as well.
