You really dont get it do you. You can plug it through your PC when the PS3 is off. Also you can purchase a 10 feet usb cable for a couple bucks (less expansive than buying a battery pack). So once again stop your exageration. |
actually, you are the one who doesn't get it. I believe my original post is pretty clear when I say i can't recharge and play at teh same time with the original short cable. You just replied with some unrelated info. Did i mention that it's a pain in the ass to recharge when i'm not playing? I'm only focusin on the play and charge part.
I don't even have to buy a usb cable, i have a 6ft cable from my camera that fits. Once again, my original post is referring to the original short cable.
Does Yahoo also recommend against the DS/DSi for the same reason?
(Or did it recommend against the GBA-SP?)
And what about cell phones and digital cameras?
Someone has never heard of charging units.

I know what you meant, but still, calling it gay because you either have to purchase a longer cable or just think of charging it on any USB device 1 hour after 20 hours of playtime really is an exageration.

When the red light is flashing (while connected to the PS3 via the usb cable) it indicates that your controller is charging, and when it's not flashing it means that it's done charging. As the controller does this even when hooked up to a PC, I believe it does have built-in protection to prevent overcharging. |
Cheers, I think it must have too but was just curious if some of the guys on here who read more Sony sites than me had seen something. I did once charge mine on the 360 but that shuts off anyway after a while so I didn't notice (that was before I bought my dulashock).
LOL I guess they caught a lot of flak, she actually edited the article about the PS3 controller battery.

How do you recharge the 360 batteries while you're playing? Just curious, since I thought they were those normal batteries that need to be charge at a charging station.
The 360 controller is like $70. Plus the battery that doesn't come with it, another $20. $90 bucks for a 360 controller while the PS3's comes up to $55. That's almost double the price and the PS3 still has sixaxis. You're getting more for almost half the price.

Don't know what fantasy land you live in but I can pickup a 360 controller cheaper than a DS3, I can then also use my rechargable batteries I have lying around in it or indeed use one of the 5 official battery packs I've acquired over the years. Funnily enough if I did ever have a battery fail it would cost a tiny fraction of the price of a new controller too, then again if I ever had the battery fail in my DS3 I'd fix it myself for a similar noinal amount.
