I'm not interested at all in this, this looks just weird.

But of course it's a major hit in the plans of Microsoft. On Wii, you get Wiimote. On Xbox 360, you get Project Natal. On PS3, you get both in improved form.

Well, if it's apparently merely the PS Eye ... then they should promote the shizzle out of this when the motion wand releases. If they have a chance to steal MS' thunder, they should do so.

Sony has been patenting a series of concepts along these lines. Earlier this year the patented the ability to sense motion via a camera/PS3 system( http://www.siliconera.com/2009/08/14/scea-experimenting-with-laugh-detecting-emotional-tracking-software/). In product design you need to prove the concept(manufacture at any cost), prove the ability to manufacture(at a price point the consumer can afford), and approve the demand(provide something the consumer perceives as useful). This tech may be at the proof of concept stage for future consoles, but it is unlikely that Sony is considering it for this generation. In many ways they may be watching Natal's performance in the space to determine if there is any reason to move forward.

Its more then a concept ICU will be reality maybe even for the PS3 if Natal will be succesful I mean they even have a name for it unlike the Wand ICU (Interactive Communication unit). Natal is released very late in the Xbox lifecycle so maybe Sony will wait and make it a standard device for the PS4 or they will respond to natal if its neccesary.

MS will look dumb as shit if after all the hype Natal is also done by Sony and Nintendo with the only difference being that the other 2 realize that it's only a gimmick.

It seems that SONY still doesn't have much faith in this being used as a product like natal, they are going to test it first in advertising applications (and probably whether natal will succeed or not)

I can finally say it here in the Sonys forum:  Natal will not sell to all the people that hype it right now, they are being totally not honest and prove how much fanboy they are. Absolutely no gamer want to play controller free, its aiming toward the casual market but is hyped by the current userbase of hardcore gamer who bash Wii all the time, lol.
