Can PS3 keep this pace until Christmas season is over? Total of 1.5 million in favor of PS3 by the end of December?

The gap should be well over 300K when FF XIII comes out... especially if PS3 outsells the 360 in NA

What the hell caused PS3 to boost by almost 50k in Others this week?
I am reasonably certain the PS3 has turned the corner mainly due to price. If they can kick it down to 199 before the end of next year the trend will only accelerate. The PS3 has always been the better console in almost every dimension from feature set to games to accessories not designed to rip you off after purchase.
The 360 always had the advantage pretty much solely due to price, but price has diminishing returns. The gamecube hit a wall on price at about the same point as the 360, once all the consoles are under 300 bucks quality starts to matter more, once the consoles all hit 199 (which will happen next year probably when the PS3 drops to that) the pick resorts to quality almost exclusively, which is the PS3's strong suit.

Why don't you stick to facts instead of pushing your opinion and trying to state that as fact.* example your rip-off comments and your better games are on ps3*
Better grfx card is on the 360...better processor is on the ps3...that is fact.*read the hardware specs*
Good sales this xmas season is due to the few great exculsives that just came out and very very good bundling...not to mention the blu-ray thing is a killn 2 birds with one stone for most folks.
The ps3 will not be under 199 in a year..infact more than likely it'll not even hit the 249$ mark at all next year.

There was a 70k downwards adjustment for the Wii in others this week. You don't suppose some data got mixed up Kow?

The US numbers saw a mega spike due to crazy awesome PS3 bundles pretty much at every store. Unless Sony can deliver the same bundles for the next four weeks, this week will be one of the biggest if not the biggest week in the US.
