indeed, but its very likely that the 360 will outsell ps3 for a week for the rest of this generation:p

i don't find that shocking, PS3 sold reasonably well, even when it was still $400, now it really takes off, because its $299! Don't underestimate the power of an established brand!

Here in Australia PS3 sells for $499 for the 120GB $599 for 250GB, While the 360 sells for $299 for the Arcade and the Elite $449. PS3 is still selling more here.

lol just noticed that the price difference in my country is 20$ between the ps3 120 gig and the 250 gig:P

PS3 Slim at $299 has price and strong brand name working together to heavily outsell the XBox 360 in console sales. BF sales results clearly proves PS3 is a much better console system than the XBox 360.
