I won't edit my post, I said what I had to say and I won't argue with kids who don't even know how their own brains function (Yes Vgchart mods you are immature kids)

hilarious the prob i see with vgchartz is that the rules are somany rules and they are very strict that you may break one without even knowing and getting banned for it instead of a warning.

Edit: not all of them are.

How in the world is it damaging to children for someone to say they are a lesbian? Anyone old enough to be on the 360 (minimum age is supposed to be 13) should certainly not be damaged by knowing that sometimes women prefer to be with other women instead of with men.

Something as natural immutable and common as homosexuality is absolutely something that should be allowed in the public square. If someone can't say they're gay why in the world can they say they're black, white or asian? Being gay isn't any more of a choice then being Chinese or being born with red hair. Should someone with "I love being blonde" be banned? They're posting about their innate characteristics, children might see it!.

This is yet another example of why I hate Microsoft. Apple and Google gave hundreds of thousands of dollars in an attempt to stop the prop 8 crowd that banned gay marriage in California. They both called it what it is, a human rights issue.

Here on the other hand is Microsoft restricting the freedoms of homosexuals and enforcing a don't ask don't tell policy on gamers by taking away services they PAID for as punishment for admitting they're gay.

I don't see how anyone who is homosexual or has friends/relatives who are homosexual (as I do) cannot see the injustice inherent in this. 100 times out of 100 a man who puts "I love women" will not be banned, why would a woman be banned for expressing the same thought?

i have already discussed this point in previous posts but i am not gonna discus it again cause i am going to get banned again for it you can see my posts. ps ignore the XXY and XYX that was completly not true and just speculation.

its is against the code of conduct if you put i am straight from way back you are also gonna get banned its that simple. no sexual orientation should be said in the bio.

Then why is mentioning race or other innate characteristics ok?  Why is saying "I love women" OK?  It expresses sexual orientation after all.  I've seen both "I'm black bitches" type comments and I love women type comments millions of times on live.

Either be PC all the way where race, gender, sexual orientation and more are all off limits or don't be.  This is clear discrimination against a vulnerable group (homosexuals).  When you say certain classes can say what they are (I'm black, I'm a chick ect) but other classes of people can't (don't ask don't tell only for homosexuals) that is discrimination.  It is wrong and Microsoft should be ashamed.

IDK. probably cause microsoft doesn't know. you complain on people so that microsft checks there gamer profile. the reason would be cause people don't complain on people that say i love women but i have never seen i am a black bitch cause that would be reported by people so she would be banned

atm I'm can't remember how the XBL Terms of Use on that subject is (I'll check out though might be on one of these pages even) but I wouldn't doubt if someone found anything from True Devil666, Christianistheway, Lesbianfromwayback, to Heterosexual and so on for being either their XBL name to finding that in their profile could be deemed worthy of a ban or suspension if that language was found to be offensive and/or infringes the Terms of Use agreement.  I would advise anyone to not test this out though which I saw someone else mention on here

But what if your bio reads even something tame like "I'm a 23 years old Muslim trying to change this world", or anything like that, the possibilities are literally endless, and I'm sure some people would be offended.

There are thousands of topics that could be alluded to, there are millions of points of view that will be in conflict with others. Let's say you have anything about politics in there, that's sure to offend some people.

Some people are offended too easily, but it's normal for you to not like many things. Point is, you can't try to change every enviroment because of that, it would be pointless to change Live. If an adult (remember, we're talking adults since for kids their parents can use parental control) can't stand a different, reasonable, point of view that won't even interfere with his own life, how can he live in a society? Shielding him from something so "weak" seems pointless to me.

I'm not exactly sure how to comment other then just saying there's people like that out there who get offended too easily.   Hope you read my edit as well on last post

Just read your edit.

You know, something funny about God given rights is that every other country has these rights, and they do use to have a similar "core", since our modern law has the same root, but they all have their differences too, and sometimes big differences, so you have lots of different sets of God given rights across the world.

What really matters about a set of rights is how respected they are. Now, I see some people would tend to naturally respect "God given things", but I'm not sure that the people who really should respect these will, like you pointed out.

Also, does the constituion itself actually say those rights are given by God?

Yes :), I can't recall the article but it's mentioned before the Bill of Rights or at least it is to the best of my knowledge.  Either way it's spelled out like: notice these rights have been given divinely by God, not the government.  I'm might be a bit off so I'll just message you that part or something.  I know not many people will agree with God being mentioned like that because of their different beliefs but if anyone comes to appreciate what the founding fathers of america did with the Constitution, I'd strongly believe (and many others) some of those rights would've been taken away by now although it certainly seems that some have been infringed upon in certain ways which distresses me.

"Endowed by their creator with certain inalienable rights" that's the declaration of independence written, ironically, by Thomas Jefferson who is an atheist (he actually wrote a new version of the bible with all the god stuff taken out).

The Constitution has no mention of religion other then the first amendment where freedom of religion (including no religion) is protected.

Incidentally there is often this confusion that we are in some way a christian nation.  We are not.  In fact looking at the treaty of Tripoli written around the exact same time as the Constitution the founders explicitly say explicitly "As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion; as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquility, of Mussulmen"  The mussulmen are another term for Muslims used at that point.

The vote on the treaty of Tripoli was unanimous, no member of congress rejected the assertion that we are not a christian nation.  It was also printed in its entirety in multiple major papers with no public outcry.

Again we are not given any rights by god in this country, we are given rights by law.  For example the right to freedom of speech which it seems Microsoft only respects for non homosexual individuals.

@ Elticker

So then you agree that anyone who puts a comment about their race, religion, age, gender, sexual orientation or any other innate characteristic should be banned?  That would be a non discriminatory policy where any personal information at all was not allowed.  Somehow I think that would never fly though.

Gay bashing though, that is fine it seems for Microsoft.  Post any characteristic you want unless you're gay, then you better not admit it.  Bury it deep, deep down like a badge of shame and never bring it up again they say.
