Suspended from XBox Live for being a lesbian!

I am so infuriated right now I had to vent somewhere.  My girlfriend and I share an Xbox Live account.  Today I received an email stating our account was suspended for inappropriate content in our profile.  Our gamer tag is ShayHolly - not offense.  In our profile under bio it says "lesbians from way back" - apparently offensive?  My blood started boiling instantly.  I was on the phone with Xbox customer support for hours and got absolutely no where.  It is only suspended until tomorrow, but I don't care if they suspended it for only an hour, it is ridiculous.  I started researching online and apparently I am not the only one this has happened to.  Supposedly Xbox doesn't allow anyone to put their sexual orientation on their profile.  I am proud of who I am and am not afraid to tell anyone.  But at the same time, I don't feel as if I was even flaunting it.  It was not in our gamer tag, it was in our bio and unless I am mistaken that is part of my bio!  I don't get it...  I'm so frustrated and angry I am thinking about getting rid of everything Xbox.  I mean after all the money we have put into this system (I won't even get into the hardware failure frustrations) and this is how we are treated! 

I guess people really do not read the Terms of Service, or have been under a rock the last year when this was discussed for over a month on every major game site.

Well if it specifically states in the User Agreement that you cannot put that information on there and that it is a bannable offense I dont see what the issue is. If it isnt, then it becomes a big issue.

Late, anything sexual or possibly explicit is not allowed. Think of the screaming children who would read that!

It is kinda stupid to get banned for that but, it does say to not do that.

Ugh why would someone put that in their bio anyway? Some people just want attention ..

If people really did their research they would find that Microsoft are one of the most pro gay companys around today.

They make you say you read the agreement for a reason. It is there for you to read and as long as they are not breaking the law, they can do what they want with their own service. It is very unfortunate, but they are not discriminating against you for you preference.

With that said, good luck to you and your g/f and I hope you reconsider throwing away your investment because of something this silly.
