Metroid Prime Trilogy but there are still quite a few games that I haven't had the chance to play yet that could change that.

Uncharted 2 or Demon's Souls. Both were astoundingly good. That includes games from both PS3/360.

MW2 was just too disapointing with it's short 5 hour campaign, and removal of dedicated servers and custom maps. Slow matchmaking and recycled gameplay wasn't too impressive either. Very disapointing overall even though the gameplay is good. I already like Bad Company 2 Beta better.

that's funny because i put a boatload of hours into oblivion,but got rid of fall out,i just didn't get into it but dragon age blew both of them out of the water for me,i guess it goes like that sometimes,

why is it an underwhelming year for games though as all the games listed on this thread seem pretty good to me,

Demons souls has been sought and ordered as i'm in the uk and should get it soon,

The games i've enjoyed playing most in 2009 are Valkyria chronicles,Tomb raider and Resident evil 5

so RESIDENT EVIL 5 gets then my vote then as my favourite game this year so far,

i am playing U2 and Dragon age(PC) right now and of course Pes 2010 which are all very good i think,

i will play AC2,Infamous,Flower and KZ2 sometime as my Ps3 has been broken for alot of this year i'm playing catch up,

to the OP i did play a couple of sessions of Batman AA on my brothers 360 when i visited him and thought it was pretty damn good,so will pick it up cheap sometime

ill go with Resident Evil 5 so far, But Batman AA is very good also.

For me personally its Muramasa: The Demon Blade. But I haven't played every game that came out so I can't vouch for the true game of the year.
