9 if it was still 2007 when it first came out. I'd give it a 7.5 now because of Forza Motorsport 3.

I'll go with 8.3 to be fair.

I haven't played too much of this game, but from what I have played I'd give it a 8/10.

8.5/10

Great Racing game in its day.
Good physics
Fun customization and Paint and tuning models.
Great online community

Bad graphics
Not a "huge" selection of cars IMO
Not very many tracks

I mostly play RTS and Moba style games now adays as well as ALOT of benchmarking. I do play other games however such as the witcher 3 and Crysis 3, and recently Ashes of the Singularity. I love gaming on the cutting edge and refuse to accept any compromises. Proud member of the Glorious PC Gaming Master Race. Long Live SHIO!!!!

Hmmm, tough one.

Pros:

- great driving feel/model/whatever
- huge car customization, liveries and everything
- online

Cons:

- dry as desert sand
- no iconic track
- some legendary cars missing

Overall:

8.0

Great feeling of speed, bad collision detection. The game was a little bit boring thou, I did not feel compelled to play it after the first couple of series or races, thou I did end up racing every single one, it just took about a year. The tracks were bland, instead of enjoying the view I was always trying to figure out why there was not more imagery. The car selection was ok, but I dont think there is much more anybody can do to impress me untill a game has every single car ever made... That would be crazy btw. I did have fun thou I am not a big fan of the whole credits as exp thing.

8.3

The graphics in this game were being praised left and right. On one hand we have amazing settings. On the other hand the variety is very lacking so it kind of cancels that out. The car models seem rather weak in the visual department but the damage effects are top notch.

The sound in the game is alright. The sound effects are good but I didn't notice any difference in sounds by the different cars. The music was a big let down.

Forza has very stiff controls. Not really a bad thing but it makes the game feel a bit slower and less friendly. The power sliding is super hyper omega and when I first did it I freaked out because I went all over the place.

Like any other racing game the typical modes are here. We have arcade mode which played nothing like how I thought it would. It does show you the stats which were nice but otherwise it felt just like a career mode minus the more interactive stuff.

Onto career mode we have your typical thing. Select a company that you want a car from and then race in the tracks that it allows you to. As you advance you level up, win new bran cars so more things open and as you get more trophies more races open. So by doing the smaller stuff you'll quickly open a lot more other stuff. It works well and I really liked it. I also liked how I can upgrade my cars with money and stuff. It works really well.

My entire problem with this game besides the tough controls is the tracks. The game claims it has 36 courses. Most are race track themed and only one seemed to be an outdoor track (open road ECT). This bothered me but what bothered me more was the fact that you race it a lot but with slight variations, backwards, different paths ECT.

The game is long, the achievements are actually good. I didn't get to test out the on-line portion. You do get a lot of bang for your buck. You can also view what others are doing on-line.

I think my problem with Forza 2 is that I was expecting too much and while it delivers where Gran Turismo doesn't, Gran Turismo delivers where Forza doesn't. Sadly, I'd rather have what GT has to offer. I'm all about the tracks because to me that's what keeps a racing game interesting. It's fine to have super realistic effects and controls. Of course it's silly to compare the game as well. But again, Forza feels like its heart is in the wrong place by just providing a realistic feel without providing an interesting setting to go with it.

Graphics - 8/10
Sound - 7/10
Control - 9/10
Game Play - 8/10
Replay Value - 8/10

Final Score - 8/10

Wow, so my opinion won't be counted even though I played and completed the pos that is PoP. Way to throw out scores that don't suit your tastes. These ranking games are now invalid in my eyes.

6.5/10

+ Lots of customisation options
+ Few, VERY FEW vehicles handled well

- From halfway through your career right through till the end the races were simply too long and too damn tedious (7 laps round the Nurburgring? BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORING)
- Far too many of the cars handled like damn bathtubs on an ice skating rink.
- Courses too repettitive, not enough variations or variety.
- 1,000,000 credits online achievement? you mean play this game for another 50 hours AFTER i have spent 200 hours completing career mode? No thanks.

Forza 2 i did not like............... Forza 3 on the other hand would have got 9.7/10 from me as its the best racer this gen and absolutley pisses all over Forza 2.

lol @ Kylie. I agree with you and dsister.

OT:

9.0

+ great physics
+ car level, driver level system
+ customization
+ It has teh splitscreenz !!!! (no that's not a standard anymore)

- races are getting ridiculously long the further you progress
- always short on money and you don't get anything for selling donated cars

I pretty much agree with you (except for money). I really like Forza 2, but career mode gets really tedious after a while.
