No, FFXIII is ~3 weeks away. That nifty archive with Comgnet had FFXIII a third higher - 2165 on Februrary 25, compared to high 1400s for FFXII 3 weeks from launch.

FF13 will have a huge debut, but as I´ve said earlier in this thread (if you would have bothered to read it) the best way to read the chart from Comgnet is to compare games in the same genre. That way we can get a good picture of the status of the prerelease interest for certain games. Therefore it´s a but useless to compare FF13 with NSMBW. I´m comparing FF13 with FF12 and NSMBW with NSMB.
FF13 is tracking below FF12 and NSMBW is tracking above NSMB.
This is interesting because while FF13 no doubt should have a higher first week sales than NSMBW in Japan the difference is likely going to be smaller than what many previously thought. We always knew that FF13 would debut with over a million in sales but these figures may indicate that NSMBW also will have a monsterdebut (which is very good considering it is a series with legs).

Today New Super Mario Bros Wii blasts past NSMB final total (688)! NSMBW has four days left of tracking.
Here are some final day numbers for other Wii games if you want to compare:
Super Smash Bros Brawl : 1217
Monster Hunter 3: 981
These two are the only Wiigames that have tracked higher than NSMBW and they are both among the group that are overrepresentated at the Comgnet chart compared to titles like Mario, Mariokart and the Wiiseries for example.
Mario Kart Wii: 450
Super Mario Galaxy: 201
Animal Crossing CF: 396
Mario Party 8: 114
Wii Sports Resort: 166
I guess that NSMBW is going to reach MH3 and place in second place among Wiigames on the Comgnet chart behind only SSBB which is tremendous for a Mariogame. Just look at NSMB and Super Mario Galaxy final day numbers for comparison.

NSMB Wii is a great title and a combination of what makes the serie so popular. It really deserves 1 millions in Japan.
