360 hardware???

Ok Wii is up 6k this week. I guess the expected Wii surge in sales for the holidays starts now and next week it will rise more and in the process leaving the PS3 behind. Preorders for NSMBW are rising like mad and that game is going to be absolutely massive in Japan. The jury is still out in regards of it being a great hardwaremover but the holidayeffect alone should push Wii way up the forthcoming weeks. Wii will most likely beat PS3 up until FF13 week and then we´ll see how things turn out.

Overall DS is crushing the competition both hardware and softwarewise. There is no question who is the king in Japan for the year of 2009 (2005-2009 has belonged to DS). I predict that DSiLL will sell very good in December and surprise a lot of people with it´s popularity. All in all things are looking very likely that we will see another Nintendodominated December in Japan.

December will be splited in two Wii domination (1 dec-15 dec) NSMBW and ToG and then PS3 domination(16 dec-30 dec) just of XIII and the legs of its next week(SQUARE-ENIX putted it in the week ending dec 19th to have strong legs for the next two weeks dec 26th and jan 1st , all 's year most powerful weeks )

For someone who stated this, don't expect holiday increases in Japan til early to mid December. Remember their holiday season carries on til mid January with the peak week being a week or 2 after that of America and Europe. Not tied to Christmas over there like it is here. But it does seem Wii is starting to see natural holiday increases already which isn't surprising for the top brands.

I think it was me, well last year the wii did have modest increases by abt late november and early december, which could be compared to increases in the west during early november. So yeah i expect wii to do about 35k next week, and PS3 close(though maybe the bundle effect from previous week could effect it negatively).

Hmm, interesting. Will be good to see the battle between PS3 and Wii in the coming weeks.

Maybe Wii can pull away until FF13 release.
