http://www.capcom.com/BBS/showpost.php?p=225626&postcount=6 The answer is Dead Rising and Lost Planet are not slated to appear on Wii or PS3 as far as current plans go. The reasons for this are quite convoluted and I'm bound by NDAs on these matters so I can't divulge why this is the situation. The quote delivered above references our strategy moving forward, not something that is necessarily retroactive. You can see evidence of this with our previously stated RE5 plans going to 360 and PS3 simultaneously.

DMC4 is getting to xbox360 so Capcom will earn more money. So why not the same thing with Lost Planet and Dead Rising?. PS3 dont have any Capcom exlusives left but xbox360 got two now, that dont seem right.

I have two guesses - They made a deal with Microsoft or They figured it would cost too much to port the game over to make a decent profit

A 7 million system install base difference says its perfectly right. Why bring delayed ports to a system which has sold less than 1/3rd as much? By the same token, why release a new game ONLY on the system with the small install base?

Because the former is porting a game to a system with an install base of 10 million, the later is porting to a system with an instal base of under 3 million. Seems fairly right to me.

But still they will earn money if they port Lost Planet or Dead Rising to ps3. Its becuase no one thought that the PS3 sales would be like that. Its not like they will port a game on 360 just because ps3 sales are bad. They did not even plan to port Lost Planet or Dead Rising when they thought that PS3 sales would be good.
