If anything, you prove his point; niche games and spin-offs sell bad on all consoles...

I have been arguing there have been good third party titles and they don't sell because the Wii demographics isn't the same as the HD consoles.

Avinash is arguing everything that doesn't have Nintendo on the box pretty much sucks ( come on 3 third party games bought in 3 years of this gen ?, I bought more third party console titles this month alone...)

No More Heroes sold well too. Exceptions are not the rule.

  When did I say there were no good third party games?  I pointed out that I have a few third party games myself, I just said most suck

EA leading the way, the domino effect is soon to follow if it's not already in effect.

To be honest, this was going to happen sooner or later, you just can't spend big money on a very volatile market such as the wii market, the core market is just more predictable because the user base in general is more consistent with their purchases.

I guess it was the sales failure of dead space extraction that looks to have made EA decision.

In any case, this is good news for HD gamers but at the sacrifice of the core wii owners....I suppose it's a good idea to own at least 1 HD console along with the wii in order to get the full gaming library, assuming your like Nintendo games, if your like and you don't then a HD console is really the only way to go.

The Wii might not be a paradise for 3rd party developers, but neither are the HD consoles. But there is some unfairness towards the Wii, and I'm going to give a very simple EA example:

- Both Dead Space and Mirror's Edge had EA complaining about their sales performance. They were both good games, and EA is making sequels to them.
- A EA studio which made some mediocre to bad Wii games suddenly decides to shun the Wii, before trying to make a serious attempt.
